I tried really hard and fell only 5 1/2 levels short, halfway to level 30 when the end came (leveling a Theif solo is amazingly challenging especially through the dungeons)
I climbed 12 of those levels in one sitting
Also never understood exactly what the prize was for this event

How many people made it to the max?

Base level 35 and 100% exp (should be level 36, but it capped off).
Job level....not so much.
The prize (or what I was to believe it would be) is a Level-up aiding kit (comprised of an exp scroll, shop discount scroll, and some "Pump-it-up Pills"), though now I'm not so sure.

heh all that work for nothing Gonz
I still have my Permanent Head (Costume) Accessory, with Rune Slot and Rune Hole Puncher.
Not to mention, it was also a test of my endurance, so it really wasn't for nothing, per se.
Mostly, it was a test to see how fast I could get to do Random Hard Dungeons (RHD) and tier 1 Raids (Garden of Baphomet and PvE Arena: Normal Mode).

I was only ever in a party once and I think I teed them off with my newbishness
But I guess level 29 1/2 solo Theif for a smidgen less than 2 days of gameplay is fine for a newbie?
Having leveling items is a fitting prize for the challenge although I'm a little green that I didn't get myself the prize package

Also, don't stand around while waiting for a dungeon party, keep questing, and when the party is ready tell them you're on your way.
To maximize leveling potential, you're gonna have to forego your Profession exp. I did this only because I didn't know how much free time I had in the weekend. Come launch tho, I will be making sure that my profession is on par, if not preferably 5 levels ahead of my Base level or more.

I made it to 35 day before, despite having work 2 days prior. The key to leveling fast, is to do the KHARA Quests, along with your regular quests. They might sound tedious, but the exp they give along with the exp the mobs give is a huge boost to your leveling speed.
Don't forget the monster buster quest as well (if you don't mind spending the zeny). A lot if not all the monster buster quest coincide with the main quest.

I didn't know what the Khara was until way later on, near the end of the BETA period
I don't know what a monster buster quest is either...
My playing this on a laptop and with all the game crashes I experienced might have played a part in my failure too
That and because I'm a newbie who didn't know about any of the extra features that could get me ahead

At the end, I ended up having a level25 Warrior, and the rest of level20 Thief, 2x Mage, Archer, and Swordman.
Not sure if it's because I started one day late, or the killing process just took longer :/
