Hi everyone, recently I have been playing classic RO, and I really enjoy the classic thing.
But one thing I am not understand.
I spotted many bots, in places like raydric map, stalactic golem map, even some of them bot 3 chars, with one crusader sacrifice all the way.
The message I have got so far is: hey, please come to bot.
So yeah, why should I not?

Of course I won't bot, but I am curious why those bots especially in stalactic golem are like free to bot at all?? Will them not get caught if no one report them?

p/s: I'm just speaking out my feeling, don't take it serious.

Because, apparently, no one gives a damn anymore. Even the "It's too annoying to ban them because they just keep remaking the bots" excuse is so dumb, that's like saying "I wont take a bath today, I'll get sweaty/dirty again tomorrow anyway."

tl;dr: GMs are lazy

they dont take it seriously thats why you see all these bots. the only way bots get banned is if it costs them money. these days it seems like the botters are buying kp with their botted zeny which is making them money. warp portal is like the middle man lol.

They do sometimes, but the time it takes to report a bot and then hope that the GMs take action, there's like 10x as many bots created in that time.

So the conclusion is living with bot, right? :wah: Though disappointing, I will try to accept it.

They should put the name of the ban characters like they used to before...speaking of bots,
Eden is a mess with all the spam zeny seller novices. They should put a level requirements to enter Eden. Thats why vendors vend at Eden before because of spam bots in town and now these spam bots invaded Eden also.

Banning bots is just so lame... All they need is client security. Make bots unable to connect, one time effort to solve the bot problem for a long time if not forever.
Anyways expect nothing from warp portal.

There's no way to differentiate between the client connecting and a bot. There's even some bots that just hook into the client. There is no simple "fix" and just having it "block" bots.

Well, to be honest classic's raydric map has also been invaded by bots. I've seen a quite significant increasing of bots in that map.
Looking forward for cheap raydric card then if not for bad at all. :wah:

Bots are legal, because GMs dont care about bot or ticket system.

I dont know anything about bots, but I'm starting to believe it's time to investigate it, to start doing (maybe 3 in Classic and 3 in Renewal, why not? =/)

No offense or anything but there are plenty of ways to stop botting maybe little unprofessional or causing problems for non botters but some ways are good. Also there is one very simple way to keep the integrity of the client along with disabling xkore, hooking up of WPE, RPE and blocking usage of macros.

It certainly ain't simple but think of how much these guys earn, how much is it to contact a company that makes game guard or even any random guy thats good with making dlls that can serve the purpose. Theres absolutely no game guard at present which is so funny.

Nothing that anyone with a brain couldn't work around with a little effort. Just causes more trouble, also a lot of those "higher end" packages cost a LOT of money for the company and would be out of the question because we only have like 2k players between all servers lmao.

Recently some guy released the annual profits and stuff that this company makes which sounded like A LOT. I know a private game guard that costs 200$, thats it. Which is what they make in an hour or two of donations maybe? lol and it is decent game guard. If you ask them to customize it and licensing and stuff, they would probably agree to less than 500-1000$ or whatever amount because of the official server tag but will be affordable. Or if you just find a random guy that can make dll to hookup into process and check for integrity and mysterious running program, most of cheats and hack problems will be solved.

Anyway, I'm totally idiot about programming, but of course I wish they could invest in some methods to ban bots. Bots are just too annoying, too disturbing, have a way too bad impact on playing experience.
