After I click on the Purple Orb, I was unable to leave the dungeon. Upon restarting the game, I can't see, to get to the character selection screen. Is anyone else having this issue?

The same here , i klicked on the Purple Orb and instead of warping me into the new Zone ..i still Spawned in the same Cave ...(but the Zone was empty .. i couldn´t use any skill ..unable to chat or whisper) i could not change character or logg off to leave the Game . I had to close the Game with my Taskmanager.
After Restarting the Game i entered my Name and Password ..but then the Icons turn into grey and nothing happened.

This is basically the same bug as mentioned in the [Instance Bug] Losing connection thread. :/
