Can't Loot or Pick up anything

My friends and I can't loot anything. Be it for our professions, questing items, or just regular monster drops. It keeps saying our bags are full when it clearly isn't. We tried restarting our client and instead some of the items in our bank went missing. Its really distracting to leveling and crafting.
