Hours instead of days

Instead of having things run out after a set date (for example costumes, mounts and VIP) it would be better if it had hours of gameplay.
For example, if I buy the VIP package for 15 days on June 1st, it would run out by June 16th. Now, if I had the time to play those 2 weeks freely with no preoccupations then I'd be happy but must of us have school or work or no access to the pc for a lot of time during the day so wouldn't buy the package as we would be wasting most of it (also, down times hinder the VIP time).
Now, if you sold the VIP packages by hours of gameplay it would be a different story. Let's say I buy a package of 36 hours of VIP (for example). Now those 36 hours of VIP on my character would start counting as soon as I use the item but only as long as I'm logged in on the character. That way I could go to work, school, a wedding, vacation, or be at the hospital without worrying about the money I'm losing for not being able to play.
I believe this would up the sales of mounts, costumes, VIP packages and other stuff that can expire as people with responsibilities or limited time to play would have an option that adjusts to their needs.

You already get an advantage with VIP tickets compared to subscription games: if you go on holiday etc, you can just buy another ticket when you come back, unless some games where you have a "binding" contract for a 1-year subscription or similar.
So I see the good side but overall I'd rather not have this implemented :x

I'm against it because sometimes you just want to socialise, vend, stay AFK for whatever reason etc...this would put pressure on absolutely taking advantage of your play time, which is not what everyone wants.

Either way if you have VIP the clock will be ticking. Everyone would benefit from this except for maybe the producer, even then I could see this being a long term money maker. I work full time and go to class all night so the only real time I get to play is Fri-Sun. I would love to have this but until then I will keep the mindset that it is my monthly fee that I would be paying elsewhere
