I'm not exactly sure where this goes, but this looting problem has been getting on my nerves for quite a while now. Sometimes, I try to loot a monster after killing it, but what happens is the sparkles just disappear, so I can't loot whatever it may have (if any), and then I can't gather materials from them as a Chef or Artisan :/

It happens randomly, but it's just now starting to irritate me so much.

This is apparently a rather common bug. Roughly a quarter of all my kills end up this way; even uniques and mini-bosses are not exempt. I've yet to meet someone who hasn't experienced it. From what I can tell the mob does have loot, you just can't get to it, which is why you aren't able to gather from the corpse. I have no idea if they ever plan to address it... maybe in the upcoming maintenance.

This is true. Everyone I have met has come across this bug. I see it probably 1/4 of the time myself.

What sucks is that it happened during the 1st academy boss and my archer couldn't loot the Silver watch he drops. This ment that he couldn't complete the Khara quest without me going on my 2nd character and actually mailing the watch to him so he could get credit for the quest. It's certainly not something you can just repeat. So you get 1 chance and 1 chance only to complete that Khara quest.

I've had to kill a mini boss like 5 times just so i could properly loot the quest item from him.
