...at least until you log out.

There might be a quicker way to do this and some steps may be unnecessary, but it's tedious to find out what exactly you need to do (I'll tell you at the end why)... and there aren't many steps anyway.

1. Press Enter
2. Type something (don't press enter)
3. Click on the Chatting tab
4. Move your cursor away, background should go away like usual
5. Press on the arrow left to the input field, select kick
6. Press on the All tab
7. READ EVERYTHING COMFORTABLY
8. Don't press on the arrow again, it makes the background disappear once more

So far from experimenting, this does not work if you did anything else before, so make sure this is the first thing you do when logging in. I never could this get to work again without starting the game again if I failed a step, hence my reluctance to figure out what causes this.


This is technically a bug, but for the love of Odin, I hope they don't fix it until we get update from Gravity Corp regarding the font. lol

I'll have to try this out when I play today but if this works then you deserve a huge Thank you. I hate having to leave my mouse cursor hovering over the chat window 95% of the time to be able to read anything.

Usually, restarting the client makes it work again for me.

Why is it so hard for this company to make a simple chatmask, in fact how could they have missed something like that to begin with? Do the devs not realize how hard it is to read font that doesn't have any sort of background?

Anyway. I couldn't get it working no matter how many restarts. After you select the kick thing and click on the all tab what do you do? hit enter? move your character? move your cursor away from the chat box? When i move my cursor away it makes the box go away, same with moving my character.

i got it working now, you have to close out client all the way, logging out/changing char don't work.

All I want is to make the chat font bigger. With everyone spamming LFG I keep up with the spam rate but I feel eventually it'll start straining my eyes.

hmm i can't seem to get this to work for me unfortunately, i'm pretty sure i followed the guide 100% i even made a new character that had the default chat tabs and completely logged out the client and back in and still didn't work.
