It's not really that great, I've used a loyal one. I think an Incubus would help out a lot more but I'm not sure if it works with GS skills honestly.
Do you know how long it takes to raise an Incubus pet's loyalty high enough to get the bonus effect? The wiki says high level pets gain loyalty slower and the Incubus is pretty high level so... I'm assuming it takes a long time.
Does anyone have any idea if the Incubus pet's bonus effect works with gunslinger skills/long range attacks?
For SP recovery, an Eggyra card adds 15%.
Archer Skeleton cards would be pretty good for damage.
With regards to your issue with not having enough AGI to dodge most attacks, High FLEE is good, but without VIT, you're basically a glass cannon. I manage to dodge a good amount of attacks with my Gunslinger, but I always have to stop and rest since they hit me enough to take my HP down to a critical level.
I tried to find some good gunsligner footgear for that Eggyra card but so far, I haven't found any that out preforms the Eden Boots IV's +12% SP recovery and +28%HP recovery. I don't really want to give up +28% HP recovery just for an extra +3% SP recovery.
Archer Skel cards is definitely among my top choices for the Wasteland's Outlaw at the moment. I may end up using those.
I noticed with my Agi Knight last year that high Agi and flee just doesn't seem to be in renewal what it use to be in classic. So, perhaps a Vit build would be more practical now, both for my gunslinger and my knight...
Your build seems to look like a hybrid Desperado build with the Agi and all. I'd say reset the stats (Mesmerist is still in at the time of this post) and focus on Dex > Vit > Int at that priority. It's also entirely possible to 99 a Slinger with only the Eden equips. In terms of footgears, the Eden Group Boots are one of the best choices and provides 12% SP regen and 28% Hp recovery + stats as well as being FREE. Also, see: Rideword Hat for SP problems.
For the Wasteland's, I really wouldn't think about carding it with Soul-collector cards. Since you wanted to keep gear expenses down, I'd try carding it with two Skel Worker cards (if you're going to mostly fight against medium enemies anyway), Archer Skel cards (note: price of 1 archer skel > price of 2 skel workers), or if you really don't want to spend, the aforementioned Andre's can also be used.
I don't really use Desperado for anything besides getting out of tough situations at the moment. Don't have the SP to use it regularly and I've never been that good at mobbing. Especially with the Agi build I have at the moment, more than 2 mobs on me kills me pretty fast. So yeah, following your suggestion to reset my stats might be the best thing to do.
What's the highest I should get Dex to before getting Vit up? How high should I get Vit and Int? Should I ignore Agi completely in that build or just get it to 10 or something? That's going to hurt attack speed a lot...
I'm leaning toward just using archer skeleton cards or andre cards on the wasteland's outlaw for now but I'm wondering what the difference between +40 ATK and +20% ranged attack damage is, exacty? Does it amount to the same thing? I guess if... 20% of my ranged attack power gives more than +40 ATK, then the archer skel cards are better. Or is the archer skel card referencing a percentage of the damage dealt each hit? Sure is confusing.lol
Anyway, I've spent some time looking over gear and I've come up with this armor/card list for a gunslinger... assuming I'm willing to spend this much zeny on it all. I realize that I said I wanted to keep costs down but yeah...I'm just considering what the best options would be now.
Purple Cowboy Hat with Incubus Card
Skin of Ventus or Heroic Backpack with Whisper Card
Odin's Blessing with Succubus Card
2 clips or 2 Eye Stone Rings with Muka Cards, Wind Ghost Cards or Owl Baron/Owl Duke card set.
So, is that about one of the best PvE armor set ups a gunslinger can have right now? (I understand there might be better choices for the headslot but I like the cowboy hat for the gunslinger theme.)
I'm not sure if the spell casting chance from the Wind Ghost cards or Owl Baron/Owl Duke set happens with ranged attacks? Also, does cards autocasting spells actually cost you SP?
Ideally, I would love it if I could use the Lude Card/Quve Card set on my accessories and get that card set bonus but... I'm assuming that only works for novices, seeing as how cheap those cards sell for.
So, does anyone have a purple cowboy hat they want to sell? lol
Anyway, I would still appreciate suggestions and advice. Thanks again for all the help.
