Hi all new player and noob wizard here just wanted to ask if I should bother maxing out pyromaniac as a "must needed" skill. I feel like I could keep it at level 1 as 10% doesn't sound like a whole lot to be but are there factors later in game that justify the 5 points for 10% faster firebolt. It feels I could use those 4 points elsewhere instead but i'll ask about opinions first. What should I do and is it worth it later?

There's a lot of discussion on this forum about that, i recommend you to search for it for the details.

But basicaly, it's a matter of personal taste. The 8% Haste rate isn't too much (since you have to stack 100, and will last only 30 seconds), but it IS something. If you know how, and is able to use the Pyro properly, i'm sure your DPS will increase a lot, or you can spend these points for other DPS skill/survivability skill.
