I have a alt that is a Full Support Sorc!
I enjoy it a lot, but i'm far too scared to try solo supporting as one yet.

Also I have a question if you dont mind! I am contemplating getting 'Meditation, Soul Cleanse, and Soul Binding'
Meditation sounds like it could be very useful, my soul cleanse is level 1, and same goes for soul bind.
Do you think it might be a good idea to max Soul Bind or?

Don't be scared about the class itself, it can heal dungeons fine for the most part. In some situations you'll have a more difficult time compared to a Priest but it is still doable. Be worried about the people you group up with. The player base is still not warmed up to Sorc healing in general. Just last night I was doing a RHD and right on entering the party thought we didn't queue with a healer only for myself to say that I am healing. "Good luck" was the first line from the tank and I had to him/her eat their words.

As for your questions, Meditation scales better the more gear you have. However, the difference between 1 and 5 points is very minor and not worth the points unless you are 100% full support with no intent to get damage abilities what so ever. http://forums.warppo...ost__p__1380309 I did some rough number crunching their based on how I think the skill works. No one ever said it was right or wrong so I will for now continue to think it is accurate.

Soul bind I think is worth it for a support focused player. Soul cleanse as of now I think is best left at one. I have only found a handful of situations of where it works and would be useful.

I don't really see you needing to be full support to basicly do the same thing as a hybrid. The important skills are the seals, they do most of the work. This goes double for the low levels. Pretty much every Sorc builds the same as there are a certain amount of gotta have skills and whats left over is.. meh.

I solo healed several OBB runs last night with a hybrid sorc.. max LoR/earth seal, level 1 Healing Wave (and I am not a support-minded person!). You should be fine to solo heal dungeons if you have a competent tank/DPS. Make sure you're familiar with all of the boss mechanics and make sure everyone knows to stand in LoR.

It is a tip to advoid a kind of players, those who die in bosses. Because if they dont know a sorc can heal or a monk can tank, usually they dont know about the dugeon's boss.

I am 100% support, no damage what so ever.
People said soul cleanse was a good idea, but for me it doesnt make any sense to use it as im too busy trying to heal.

I'm not scared of the class, i'm just scared of my abilitys to actually heal.
I feel like I'll end up having left over un used skill points in which im trying to figure what i should end up using them for.

Dispelling/cleansing debuffs is still an important part of being support(and frankly any spec if applicable). However the problem is that not all debuffs can be dispelled nor does the game in any way helps indicate whether or not it can be dispelled. In my case I have only found a handful of debuffs where it is actually usable on. You will definitely have some left over points if you don't plan on taking Soul Cleanse. If you have something like 5 points left over I would just move down and grab 3/3 Jupter Thunder just to make your solo ability a bit less painful. Your choices are a bit limited as there aren't really any additional options which boost your ability as a support oriented player. Other things left would be Summon Aqua just for fire and forget added damage on a boss or Water Seal if you expect to take some AoE damage and won't survive without it. Personally I don't think 100% full support is worth it only due to the points put into things like meditation, soul cleanse, and rejuvenation are marginal improvements or have limited effectiveness. But I would definitely cheer on for any Sorc that does go down that road.

I've had my run ins with people not believing that a FS Sorc can heal very well. There was one point where I left the party because I was frankly insulted. I'm a fully Colo geared FS Sorc. Sometimes I get bored and just queue into the RHDs to help out.  I whispered the guy and told him I was a FS Healer, I even made mention that I was a well geared FS Sorc healer. An invite was promptly sent my way of course, afterwards though, he found a fresh lvl 50 Priest to heal. His reasoning was that he didn't believe I could handle it solo so I needed a priest to help me with the healing. As I previously stated, I was insulted and quickly left the party.

As a side note, I've also had too many occasions to count where I was in a party and someone pipes up with, "Where's the priest/healer?" You know what they say about assumptions.

I've had plenty of kicks before pulling and "Where is the Priest/Healer wtf" moments.  Most of the time I just say nothing and make them eat their words at the end of the dungeon.  It is somewhat annoying but player perception takes a long time to turn around.  Honestly though I don't know why it started to begin with unless Sorcs already had this reputation in kRO2 and seaRO2.  I mean there are four tanking classes in this game with their pros and cons and to think that there is only one healing capable class when there are two classes with healing abilities is a bit dumb.

Some of my best and quickest OBB runs have been with Support Sorc's. Keep it up, guys. You do good. :no1:

I'm currently level 29 and when I was level 25 I had a group that assumed I could main heal. In fact I've had a couple groups since who assumed I would be the main healer. Except in my case due to point placement, I can't main heal.

Are you guys really running with this kind of troubles?

wtf???

I mean, aren't Sorcerers being flamed of OP and all at colo because they have ranged skills of 20m (all of them for no reason) and UBERHIGH crits and and SUPER HEALS on top???

Seriusly, I go do unions with a companions, we together duo the hard modes and have been able to beat every boss no problem =___=;;;

Im a simple DPS and she is a hybrid Sorc... I don't see any trouble with Sorc being healers...

Hybrid>FS... It's not all the time that you have to be FS. Max Earth Emblem and Healing Wave and you're all set...

Don't even need to max healing wave, in my opinion. I've main healed hard dungeons (and normal raids when priests have died) without it. I'm also the person Lein mentioned duoing hard bosses with him. I'm only in non-runed bapho/pve N gear (which does outclass hard so eh), so it's not like gear needs to be super powerful. Makes me wonder how I could do on normal dungeons now (at appropriate ranges).. I just always leveled with a priest, so it wasn't an issue, except when he died.

..also, somewhat off-topic, but I find it amusing how my posts have evolved, haha. Sorcs are fun~

I am happy there are others who are capable of Healing as Sorcs. I am a hybrid built litereally for everything from PVE to PVP dps to PVP support and manage to do every role wonderfully. When I do raids due to the lack of priest in the game it takes forever to even find one, and I found myself with another sorc full healing the team through raids because of it. To make it better, we had 7 melee with several undergeared going through the raid, and we did terrific. Someone even said we still needed a priest despite the fact we actually beat the bosses, don't know how that makes sense.

However, I spoiled my guild with my healing and now they don't trust priest for healing now lol, quite the turn of events. I am just waiting to see how the new class turns out for healing though. Odds are if sorcs weren't known for healing before, they definitely won't be anymore now.
