Ah, if only this actually mattered to the iRO GMs.It's an important issue because it required real cash to get. Nerfing items that can be attained via in-game means is one thing, nerfing items paid with cash is another.

This cash has already been made, though.
Exhibit A: Rideword Hat on Classic. They decided one day to take the SP Absorbtion Bonus and change it (after the hat had been unavailable for months) so that it only works if you +8 the hat.

Part of the game. Stop cryingThe skill greed is the most annoying skill in this games history, i feel. Once a mass crop of monsters is killed, one greed and all the items are gone! And even if share is on it doesn't distribute equally i feel. The "Greeder" gets all the items and drops without even giving a chance to the others to see what fell itself! This is true injustice. Now with the backpack it's become available to people who can buy it, too. They don't even kill in the party, they just Greed!

its their game. they have the right to do anything they like to items in game and call it 'balancing'. obviously we know that its all marketing ploy to sell more upgrade items through KP purchases, but hey they gotta do what they gotta do. in the case of this thread, if they happened to ever nerf out greed, it would make sense as a balancing issue and be justified since it needs no justification: its their game.
as a mech player, i personally am offended that they would give out one of the spells that makes our class unique. our class is plagued with so many problems as it is. they gave away one of the few things that made it worth the constant struggle.

2013 and people still loot generic mob drops. Why cry over greed it's not like you would of looted the stuff and even if you did it's not exactly a lot of money.

My guess is because you can make decent money on this week's mid-TI. Last time we had succubus/incubus, I'd solo it on my mechanic and rake in millions per run. On top of that, I'd also vend the mastela fruits dropped so it's a decently profitable TI.
