Do eggs until it can do OD2 without dying, and then leave it in OD2 to 99, and then once it's homun S, you take it back to OD2 for a while, maybe even all the way to 150 (depends what homun S you go)
It's much slower than leveling a character - but you don't have to work to level homun, you just need to go AFK and feed it every hour. So it's okay that leveling them is slow.
The bot problem is only bad on low level maps (since bots eventually get banned), there's not much botting once you're third job.

i just did hugel beach during spotlight (no longer viable due to low spawns), walking circles around the map and leveling my homunc fast as hell. i swear my homunculus was out lvling me by 10 levels till about 90 where it slowed down tremendously. from there i just afked TIs and got him 99 while getting myself exp as well. you just gotta find a map that isnt overcrowded with afks and bots so you have your own spawns to kill. comodo still has some good maps with high spawns on it. might wanna poke around there and see if he can survive groves or golems
and yea most people in the game are bots. theres 2000 people logged in but only about 300-500 of them are real players, and most of them are AFK in town or sitting around modeling their costumes lol

Homunculus exp gain is not effected by the level difference bonus/penalty (nor VIP/manual/etc), however the exp you get from the homun killing something is effected by these modifiers. Homuns level from the base exp (job exp is lost), modified only by server exp events and exp taps. 54 exp is what you get from ant eggs as VIP with maximum level difference penalty, if I recall correctly.so..there are level caps? cause he does not gain much different from a 54 exp egg to a 2000+ exp fish
http://irowiki.org/wiki/EXP exp penalty system
http://db.irowiki.org monster DB (to check exp)
Level caps are 99 as long as owner is not genetic, and 150 after owner changes to genetic (DO NOT let homun level beyond 99 until you've changed it to homun S, otherwise it misses out on stats).
Also - I don't think anyone's done much in the way of detailed expected stats for homuns under renewal. Unlike pre-renewal, homun S's in renewal will almost always hit the stat cap (always if they're a vani base), so there's much less reason to monitor their stats. Pre-renewal, the final stats of vani made a 2 to 1 difference in the damage of caprice (pre-renewal, matk had an exponential dependence on int - now this is linear), and since hitting the stat cap at 99 is hard, very few homuns hit the stat cap. So there were large differences based on stats, so people made tables and crap.

Yes, you have to become creator before genetic unless you want to delete and remake your char.i have to become creator then become genetic?? i wont be able to use my homunc at all then untill i get to genetiic omg
You can use your homun even when it's 99 - UNTIL YOU CHANGE TO GENETIC. Once you've changed to genetic, it can level past 99, and you don't want that to happen.
If you've used it while it's 99 prior to changing to genetic, it's likely that it will have enough exp to level to 100 - if this is the case, if you take it out and let it kill anything, even a plant or a poring, it will level from it. So don't let that happen, and change it to homun S immediately.

Homun move speed is fixed at the speed of the owner at the time it was last summoned (or the owner teleported or changed maps). It continues to move at that speed, regardless of changes in the owner's speed, until it's resummoned, or owner teleports or changes maps.u guys know how some people get their Vani's to move super fast?
Genetics need only cast cart boost before summoning to get it to move at max speed.
Alchy/Bio would need to pop a speed potion just before summoning for max speed (speeds only last 5 seconds, so you need to summon fast ;-) ) or if you don't want to waste speeds, a guarana candy will get it to agi-up speed.
