So, I'm nearing that time and I would have had 5 skill points saved up after the JC.

Currently, I've maxed the fire line and put one point in the other trees to unlock Frost Nova / Teleport.

I was wondering what would be the best way in allocating my skill points and what should I prioritize in maxing so I don't get turned away in favor of other DPS classes?

Personally if you do many dungeons, I would grab Inferno and Meteor Storm rank 1 ASAP. This is be super handy for trash or when bosses summon lots of adds that need to be killed. If you don't do many dungeons and mostly solo, I would recommend Firestarter to rank 1 for the extra damage, and max Seal Explosion. the reason for Seal explosion is every 2 minutes you can use Water Emblem then get a 50% HP/SP heal from seal Explosion then change back to Fire. Other than that the choices should be pretty simple for you as we have very little variety. I would definitely focus on the damage stuff first though, almost level 40 and still don't have teleport or ice wall/frost nova and have had 0 issues.

def max ur dragonology skill soon. get Meteor Storm rank 1 asap - then firestarter and seal explosion taken care of first like Nirrado say

Max dragonology and get one into ice wall fast. You only need one (for now, some people put more in). It'l help with dungeons in case you pull aggro or get more adds on you than you can handle.

Im 42and still havnt needed to invest in icewall yet, and mylvl 1 teleport is plenty should i need. I think there are way more important things to do first....

What I'm going for now is

Level 1 Meteor Storm/Inferno
Max Dragonology
Put the other point into Meteor/Inferno
Max Seal Explosion

At least, that'll be my goal currently.

Also, based on the discussions about matk vs agi, the difference between 51/26 and 26/51 is negligible right?

mmmmm is just 2 diff ways - either raw power & less agi benefits or more crits with high power. IDK if one is truly better than the other, but I know both builds PLUS the cookie-cutter 40/40/8 w/e thingy are the popular builds - so it must be for a reason if u go higher agi, then ull just have to focus a lil more on int in ur buffs/gear/scrolls etc ? haha

Not really negligible. More raw power from Int is good for your DoT, Agi doesn't benefit your DoT much.

Inferno blast can crit, instant cast, giving DoT and you can move pre-cast, during-cast and post-cast. But has long CD, else it would be perfect skill that can match Warrior's Brandish Storm. You wouldn't worry people covering for you by using this skill. PvE and PvP.
Meteor storm is casting, no DoT, and you cannot move pre-cast, during-cast and post-cast. But it can always be recast over and over. You will be dead by using this skill if it wasn't because of your team covering for you. PvE and PvP.

Dragonology less priority if you solo much. Other skills will be much more useful for you.

Well since he specifically asked for advice on "what should I prioritize in maxing so I don't get turned away in favor of other DPS classes?" Therefore, no one turns down a wiz with maxed dragonology, and that's all they care about from you as a DPS - everything else they don't seem to care as much as long as ur DPS lol.
