So, you fancy creating a role play group? well it's about time! I'd like to see a bit of role play in RO2. we can use cloth armor merchants and so many more as a source for armors to role play with, or use costumes!~
Try to create a story for role play in game that will make us interested!

History: Raised Under Knight Zeras Hyperion's guidance,A Holy priest turned into a cold ruthless blooded killer, slaying people in her way Alyssia was implanted with a fragment of ymir's heart therefore her magic power had increased, only to know when she was turned against her own that many were slaughtered in cold blood by "A Dark and malevolent priest" to this day there is no sign of this cold, but ruthless priest she hides in the darkness where none may come out, devoted to her duty.

Hello! I'm interested in a role playing group. I'm experienced with freestyle role playing and table top role playing such as Pathfinder, Dungeons and Dragons, World of Darkness, and Big Eyes Small Mouth (BESM). I have role played in games such as Mabinogi and World of Warcraft. All of my currently created characters in RO2 are based off of previous characters I have used.

Transcend

In-game name: Transcend (Odin)
Preferred name: Trance or Trans
Class: Monk
Profession: Chef

Personality:

Transcend is bright and bubbly. Many would call her an airhead or very naive. While she believes in harmony and balance as the way of the monk, she does not keep to a monotone personality. Her idea of balance is to celebrate the good times and embrace the bad times, as both are necessary in one's life. She loves to dance and finds relaxation in nature. She loves to help and is very nurturing but can easily become annoying about it.

Background:

Transcend learned the ways of an acolyte in the Elemento Academy. She had a strong desire to help others and become a support for her friends and classmates. As she left the academy and experienced more of the world, she became frustrated at how poorly she fought in comparison to her peers. Her healing powers were useful but she desired to be a part of taking down enemies and banishing evil from the world. When the opportunity arose to become a monk, a holy warrior of sorts, she accepted wholeheartedly. Now, as her adventures lead her farther away from her dorm room, she meets new people in her quest to defeat the evils of the Frejanity!

In fact, RO1 was the first game where I made contact with RPing.
Then there was WoW.
Then I found a Shadowrun P&P group,
then a &D one.

Would be a shame if I didn't continue the 'trend' in RO2

I always look for roleplay in a online game, and I haven't seen anything on iRO2 yet.

Actually, I was really looking for a RP Guild of some sorts, but there seems to be none...
I feel people are not that inclined to RPing here. Yet, at least.

This is a superb idea! I think It'll be good for Ravonor to get away from the difficulties of the world and relax a bit.

I mean it.

All RP means is that you pick a role and play it as best you can.
-> Don't tell me you never ran around your backyard yelling "Mommy look I'm batman!" etc.? ^^

Well I did, everyone did but I never roleplayed(legitimately) in MMORPG. I mean sure, I had headcanons about my characters but from what I've seen there are some other mechanics involved when roleplaying in MMORPG or am I mistaken?

Your acting out the role of a character in a play basically, it's not that hard to do, it's like Final Fantasy, you act out the role of the character, and you just act out how the person will say the story, in your own way of course.

I totally love this thread! I used to be an Admin for a role play cult in VampireFreaks, but went inactive because of real life stuff. I'd love to join once you get the character template up. :3 Also, I get to practice my communication skills since English isn't my native language. xD

Name: Varnion
Class: Wizard
Profession: Alchemist

Personality: Varnion is, basically, lazy, arrogant and full of himself. He always had confidence in his abilities, but usually prefers the 'easy path' rather than the 'most fulling' one. He is quite spiteful, and usually look down on people. However, should someone prove to be better than Varnion, they'll find a willful rival. Despite being annoying as he is, he has a kind heart, and may even help other out of good-will, even though he might say he was only 'helping himself'.

Background: One of the best and most promising Magician students in the academy, his tutors never did anything to prevent Varnion's ego from swelling too big. He was surrounded by great expectations, but never really cared for it. He had in mind what he was capable of, and what he really wanted. And it was a surprise to everyone when, instead of becoming a Sorcerer, and one of the main weapons in the fight against Freyjan, and Evil Itself, Varnion decided to 'waste his gifts' becoming a Wizard. "It'd be too much work", he said, on not becoming a Sorcerer, and that alone describes his views on life. After that huge disappointment, many eyes turned from him, giving him a bit of anonymity. He took the opportunity to travel and see the world outside the box.
