I'm still not fully clear with the damage addition with battle tactics.

So say you crit with a skill that does 80% damage and you have 200 int, do you do:

1) 80% * 2(crit) * 1.8 = 360%
2) 80% *2 + 80% = 240%
3) 80% * 2 + 1.8(80% * 2) = 448%

I'm guessing it's 2? Number 2 stands out more when doing skills with low % damage. It also stands out crit is actually a lower multiplier like 1.5x or 1.75x

Say you do a skill with 25% damage, like Bash

1) 25% * 2 * 1.8 = 90%
2) 25% * 2 + 80% = 130%
3) 25% * 2 + 1.8(25% * 2) = 140%

Hopefully the answer is either 2 or 3. I'm planning on making a str/int/agi warrior, can't wait to see how it turns out.

i tho crits would be 200% dmg and having 200 int adds 80% to a total of 280%. so 80%*2.8=224%

thats my opinion of how it works, i got no base to say it or proof or anything, its just based on how that mechanic worked on some other games(WoW and others), so probably i might be wrong

Standard crit multiplicator — damage * 2
Damage = 10; Crit = 20.
Let's say you have 100 Int then your bonus will be increased by 40 (with lvl 2 Battle Tactics)
So you will crit for damage * 2.4
Damage = 10; New crit = 24.

Level 2 Battle Tactics
200%*(1 + 0.4% * INT)

The base crit multipler is 2.0.

Battle Tactics provides 0.4% crit damage per int, thus 200 int would provide 80% additional crit damage.

Your multiplier would become 2.8.

Effectively allowing your ability do [80% * (2.0 + 0.8)] damage if it happens to crit.

#2 is correct; I realize the above answers covered your question as well, but I felt they were somewhat unclear so I wanted to provide my own.

So how will multi hits critting work with battle tactics?
Will each crit hit gain a boost of +80% damage (additive)

With abilities like Shield Cannon (hits for 88% of weapon damage over 3 hits, or 29.33%~ per hit) each hit is an individual hit with a unique crit chance of its own. Any of the hits that do crit will receive that same 2.8 modifier.

Do keep in mind DoT abilities, as they currently are, lack the ability to crit altogether.

Ah, the thing I thought was with battle tactics, the extra % damage gets added to the total damage as the descriptions says:

"If a skill deals critical damage, an extra 0.4% damage per INT will be added to the total damage."

So if a person had 200 int, bash would do:
(25% * 2 <- TOTAL DAMAGE with crit ) + 80% (the ADDITION of the int damage % boost)
= 130% damage

not
25% * (2+.8)
= 70%

Then again, scenario number 1 would make Warriors quite op. So I'm still not sure what battle tactics exactly does, scenario 1 or 2...

The translations are very, very poor unfortunately.

When it says "added" it refers to the "crit damage" multiplier. Crit damage refers to the 200% (2x) damage bonus to skills that crit. So the "added" damage is simply applied to the 200% damage to the sum of (in our example) 280%.

Each 1 int adds 0.4% crit damage, or 0.04 to the crit multiplier.

If an attack does 1000 damage and you do not have the battle tactics skill whatsoever it will do 2000 damage. [1000*2.0 or 200% of 1000]
If an attack does 1000 damage and you do have the battle tactics skill (and 200 int) it will do 2800 damage. [1000*2.8 or 280% of 1000]

In your examples above,

25% * (2+.8)
= 70%

Is the correct way to look at it.
