I'm seeing that there is a 10 second window after fisting where you can't do anything, not using sp items amd whatnot..... Sucks for solo fisting. Anyway, could a scholar still give you sp so you can continue demolition? Why would they do dis

Well so many people cried about GFist in trans that they nerfed it.

That's only part of it, though. GFist damage does not scale well with 3rd jobs. You could (can still?) get 1-shot wearing by GFist while wearing a GR, which is a testament to how poorly the skill scaled up to 150. But Sura has GoH which is sort of like a long range GFist, just without any of the things that made GFist interesting (Snap cooldown, loss of Fury status to prevent further snapping, interruptability, etc).

So all in all, Renewal happened.

I wouldn't say that. As far as leveling go I'm pretty sure neither is preferred over AoE skills (I wouldn't really know). From a WoE perspective, GoH is generally going to get the job done, just swapping between GoH 4 (physical, blocked by SWall) and GoH 10 (ranged, blocked by Pneuma) to get the job done. Some targets may need to be GFisted (such as recallers) in which case a +9 or higher Vellum Claw for instant cast and some major SP gears are suggested.

GoH is nice because you can use a +12~+14 KvM Mace and the WoE set for some nice survivability, even at 50% hp, while being sufficiently murdery.

Or, from a Sura's point of view, this could mean that Gfist scales extremely well
