I have Ragnarok renewal installed, the one that was released for Ymir/Yggdrasil (aka not the testing one). The Renewal.exe works fine and I can play on those two servers. The RagnarokFree.exe on the other hand... lets me log-in and select the Valk server, and then gives me an error message as soon as I get to the character select. Clicking ok closes the client. Both are patched and I'm not dual clienting or anything.
If I use the Valkyrie.exe that's in the Start menu, I can get to the character select but it will be empty. Then it'll pop up some errors about palettes before giving the exact same error that the RagnarokFree.exe gives me.
Do I have to redownload the whole client because Valk won't work? =/ Or am I missing something?
Valk Client errors out

I have had the same problem, but it is very easy:
Look at the target from your Valkyrie.exe (from Desktop-Icon, start menu or short-cut list), the path must be now "C:\p.........\Gravity\Ragnarok Online Renewal\RagnarokFree.exe"
Maybe you use your old path like "C:\p......\Gravity\iRO\RagnarokFree.exe"

You're using the old client when you launch from start menu, as above said.
Moreover, your client has apparently failed to patch the valk renewal client exe update.

I got rid of the old client and grfs though, and the path says it's set to the new one.
The patching sounds more likely... I don't think I've seen my clients do much patching lately, maybe not even any.

I was missing something: Apparently I had set IE to work offline sometime ago, so my RO wasn't patching. >_> So... problem solved.
