The title use before the level requirement was told to do by the GMs. The level requirement is a compromise the CMs gave to us. Please do the research before saying things. ><

I got title items with lvl1 requirement in tuesday but they cant be used, no matter how i click them. All next day was the same. And after mainterance 6th i had 7 title items in temporary (instead of 4), but they was lvl40 already.

So i think they are bugousers. Or GMs make 1-2 hours "window" for their friends/puppets and we have a drama here (and few more ppl who was just lucky enough to use unsealed title items in that window. But i hope its just my paranoia ^^

Not just few people xD I saw at least 20 Founders with level 8 up to 30 today. And leveled my thief to lvl24, yay! Btw, server time plus 11 hours time belt so we have 1:39am here. Cya later, i'm going to sleep now

It's either this or a Founder title with 5/8 stats (or 12/16 at most). I'm honestly tempted to say we might have deserved the nerfed-to-the-ground version because of ungrateful people like you.

Not sure how I would classify as ungrateful. I think you were looking for the word "displeased"...

WP was adamant about the fact they were going to nerf/modify the title in some way, and that leaving the title at 30/44 with level 1 requirement wasn't going to fly. The original nerf is part of what caused the ruckus, and the next not-as-nerfed-to-the-ground nerf was still bad enough for torches and pitchforks to keep rising up from the pastures. WP and the community finally settled on the level 40 requirement after talk of restricting the title to level 50 (because there are other equivalent/superior level 50 titles) or level 30 (because of the event requirements) circulated around the forums.

Now, with a choice of 5/8 (or 12/16) and usability from level 1 or 30/44 with level 40 requirement, which would you choose? I personally choose the latter; and for those of you that keep on QQing in this topic, the time you've spent here would have let you get multiple level 40s by now.

Last I checked you Can't play ro2 on your cell phone. Some people have busy lives and can't spend 24/7 on their computer. I'm lucky if I get eight hours a week to play.

So if you're done trolling these forums and QQing over something that's over and done with, I suggest you go level up your characters and be constructive (8 hours is plenty to go from 30 to 40) or go play whatever game it is you're playing if you have already quit. The time you and others like you that have spent time crying on the forums could've gone to leveling your characters to level 40.

this weekend the server isn't even close to full like before and it is because of THIS! if they don't mind losing us be it then. but last time i checked they needed US the players to make money...

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure the servers are at the same level as before. The reason the server doesn't look as full during channeling is because their capacities were increased. They closed off channels and increased channel capacity.

As civil as this topic is, the debate here is going nowhere because you guys continue to respond to every single counterargument (based largely on what and how the entire scandal unfolded and concluded) with a flat "NOPE!" and continue to argue the same thing like a broken record about an entitled child crying for candy. Some of the people who support you being people like MikoMew, who continue to cry when he has already mentioned quitting RO2 for some other game, also does not lend credibility to this topic beyond that it has degenerated into pointless QQing and if I see a topic about QQing I am going to call it out for what it is.

Not going to deny that the "Title and Item Scandal of 06/04" would have an effect on player population, but there are many other factors to also consider when talking about game population decline. Some of these factors include the conclusion of the Founder title event, conclusion of the Founder title AFK festa, lack of bug fixes with each coming maintenance, new bugs with each coming maintenance, and boredom with RO2 itself.

It would, but yeah, as one of reasons, not main one. Mostly because Ragnarok and Ragnarok 2 are two different games. Ragnarok is mini-universe itself, and R2 is nothing more than sandbox with 1-50lvl tutorial (depends on "pro's opinion": lvl1, lvl30, lvl40... who cares, we already 50, so cheer up emo duck and shut up, noone cares) and a little end-game stuff.
This game, if close eyes on specifics, is DC Universe Online in miniature. But there are more permanent cute costumes and stuff. And end-game content Not just few raids you raid step-in-step as settlers because there are no another strategy, stealing monsters and Colo deathmatch.

Just because I have a different opinion?? I gave reasonable answers and just get insulted... I mean, I thought the community would last longer before "badasses" start raging because of a game change... I would understand if the title gave an edge at maximun level... not because it reduced a couple of hours the time needed to level from 1 to 40. If you have a "real life" enjoy it. I don't understand why people with "real life" make so much drama about leveling for a couple more hours than someone else.

People it's pointless. What's done is done. They won't change their minds. As unfortunate as it is for MOST of us...we got the short end of the stick. There's nothing we can do about it. The longer you guys stay on this subject, the more you guys will be frustrated. Just let it go and hope that warpportal don't fail us as much in the future.

But to be fair I want people like Kingarthur to try and put his/herself in our shoes. More than less it's always better to look at things from a different angle. By doing this you can understand both side and you won't come off bratty or ignorant.

I have 5 Founder titles remaining to be activated for my yet-to-be-created alts, unlike some people I didn't go on a Founder title activation spree even knowing of the level requirement nerf beforehand. Do I find the fact that I won't be able to use them immediately saddening? Slightly. Am I going to complain about it? Nah, the current compromise was the least of all potential evils given the situation, getting level 40 is easy if my Warrior (who was level 41 when I got the title on him, 43 now) was any indication, and having a level 50-tier title at level 40 is already a pretty big reward.

I will also admit my Sorc (level 33) and Ranger (level 30) also have Founder titles on them, but I wouldn't be peeved about it if I didn't have the titles on them yet because again: Getting level 40 is easy and you will eventually get there one way or another.

I do see it from both sides of the story. Warp Portal made a mistake. They intended to nerf the title's stats from the start. They had the original title's stats for everyone to see on display in the game without realizing it. They saw it as an imbalance for early leveling and a good reason as to why the majority of titles would go unused. They almost nerfed it to uselessness. The community's outrage for their mistake reversed this, but the compromise by the community during that time (From great understanding of the argument that this is extremely beneficial to lower levels.) was to make it a Lv40 requirement. Even then, people were able to get to Lv40 pretty easily without the title in the first place anyways. Just take your time and play the game. The title will still be there for you to use in the future.

As much of a mistake they made, it doesn't beat the argument that it did indeed pose an imbalance for low level character leveling being a huge advantage over others without it. We all see why when making comparisons between low levels who have the title and those who don't. The GM's message to use the Founder Title item before maintenance began was for those who were concerned enough to stay up during the uproar in the first place. I'd say it's more of a "This is just a small extra thing we'll give to the community members that were present at the time to open our eyes" kind of ordeal. That or it was just people who were lucky enough to be up and checking the forums or in-game at the time to see the message. That's just my opinion on the matter though. I don't personally know what the GM's were thinking regarding that.


By the way, at some points this thread devolved into an "Or else..." thread where threats of quitting due to not being allowed to use their Founder Title came up. I also see a lot of name calling and redundant debates with nothing new. Thread's pretty much done for now.
