Hey, Midgardians!

Do not fret when you log on and see that only 12 channels are available.

Our team did a lot of work on the existing channels to improve performance and allow for many more players to be in each channel.

Due to this, we have decided to cut back on the channels that are open.

Awesome. So farming certain mobs like Goblin Leader or killing actual quest mobs that are farmed by others is now even more annoying as the number of channels you can try got halfed.

I'm fine with that. I'm not so much fine with the patch error i keep getting and the fact i cant play =/ Is the server not back up yet or do i need to fix something somewhere...

It's already really hard finding a Goblin Leader, which is the only viable source of Oridecon Piece (which are already extremely overpriced). Removing 8 channels remove 8 spawn possibilities.

While I understand that it is not an ill intend and that you probably only wanted us to enjoy more crowded channels for social and questing purpose, it does screw up our farming attempt...

So I do not believe that it is a good idea.

Thanks a lot for nothing. Now getting mobs of any kind will be even more of a nightmare. If you're out to piss us off all over again, you're doing a fine job out of it.

Roll back that crap and gives us our 20 channels back. The Ks-ing and camping is bad enough with 20, imagine with 12. BAD IDEA!

Sarcasm? IMO this is a good thing. What's the point on playing MMO if you're alone in an area coz people are divided to a lot of channels and maps?

Try going to your Ragnarok Online 2 folder and doing the following:
1.) Open MD5FileList.txt in Notepad.
2.) Delete the contents of MD5FileList.txt
3.) Save the now-empty MD5FileList.txt
4.) Right click MD5FileList.txt and go to Properties.
5.) Check off Attributes: Read-only, then press Apply and OK.
6.) Delete MD5FileList.txt_tmp or the MD5 bin file (forgot the actual name -- it's similar to MD5FileList, but is a .bin file type).
7.) Run RO2Client.exe

Here's hoping it works for you. It helped me. x_x

And I already butted heads in low population channels at low populated times when farming essences... And I can't even imagine how annoying it will be to find certain field bosses, like that goblin leader.

It's not like I was FORCED to play in channels 11-19, I played there because I wanted to find as little people as possible vending, disputing my mobs or trying to party. When I needed more people around, I just went to 1-6

People are getting greedy. Do something about the economy though, there is an influx of too much zeny. Do something about it now, before the economy of RO1 happens again!

Supply of field boss cards will go down. If no substitutes are being introduced, their prices would go up.

In a way, I can see this is a positive change. So people now who spend the time to farm boss cards would be rewarded more. And the people who used to farm boss cards but couldn't due to the change, could focus more on making profit from crafting.

Well this was a dumb idea.

I enjoyed my time on Channel 17 and 19. I didn't want to be overcrowded with people but there were just enough, and if I ever needed more I could go to the first 5 Channels. Now hunting for rares and cards is going to be even worse with more limited options.

If you reduce channels like this last minute, it is quite rude to the community. Please give us more time as to hear from us. Your team should have learned after last night that last minute changes enrage the community. We are more than just wallets with money. We want to play the game without being back stabbed every which way with last minute shady business tactics. You're doing nothing but hurting yourselves by making the community mad to the point we quit. If you do something drastic like this, warn us in a fair amount of time. As for your change now. The least you could do is make respawn rates much faster since now it will be incredibly hard to farm things such as goblin leader. The people who run this game should listen to the community more. Fix bigger problems rather than changing things that make the game a bad experience for everyone.

Unless i am searching groups for bosses or dungeons i avoid channel 1 because playing there lags me to death, loved the option of having 20 channels, now with 12 i cant imagine or dare to try to camp Poisona for the chance of a card, was already overcamped with 20 channels, this is going to hurt your game in the long run when people all over complain because of the lag.

I seriously wonder you guys know about this game, seems you develop a game you dont know nothing about.
