You can feed it upgraded gears, and it will either give you Safe to 7 certs for corresponding items eaten (i.e. if an armor is eaten, you'll get armor ones) if successful, or it will give you a certain number of ori/elu on a failure. I believeit has to be +7 or above for the item to be eaten.

The success rate to get the certs is very LOW lol.

I don't bother trying to give that Eat Gear my crap anymore.
I fed seven +7 Weapons and only managed to get 1 certs -.-

Ahha, the trap that most people mistook lol. Don't bother feeding it with +7 equips. I did it for like 10x equips back in ygg, and all failed. urgh..should resist the temptation, but well...
