I basically am entirely clueless about what stats/skills are needed for a ranger when it comes to PVP... Can I have a few suggestions, and reasons why certain builds are best?

For Colo, you want to always be mobile. The only time you should ever be standing still is to Charge Arrow spam. The idea is that you want to proc Ranger Main as often as possible. If you're going for a pure Colo build, then I highly recommend maxing out Acrobatic and Arrow Impact. The former will increase your viability/mobility, the latter will allow you to perma-snare your target which is especially amazing for the final round. Not going to even get into the reasons why I didn't include Vulcan Arrow for Colo, just take my word for it when I say you can do without it.

I was wondering, what would be the best stat build for PVP as well? I've seen some say 40/40/8 (Str/Agi/Vit), and some say 50/29/2 (Str/Agi/Vit), and some say 29/50/2 (Str/Agi/Vit).

I'd like to know which of the three are best, and why.

Also, not to say the skill build suggested isn't a good one, but I'd like to hear other comments on builds just to be sure, since I am literally clueless about Rangers.

Stats are based on preference. I went 41str/41agi cause I'm lazy and don't care. Never put points into vit. You're a dps class: stat like one.
