I just read the skill description carefully. It says decrease damage by 100% (lv5).
Doesn't that mean NOT taking any damage at all?!

Yes, that's the idea...It's like wizard's icewall, which does the same.
Keep in mind that you're not doing anything either, it's an emergency skill to keep you alive a little while longer when needed. You'll need to be well ahead in threat if you're going to do this while tanking a boss, or it's going to turn on your party.

It's very situational on its usage. I've only really used it a FEW times in PvP personally. I've seen others use it occasionally on bosses (as stated above, you need to be well ahead in threat to pull such off).
Again, I barely even touch the skill. So you may choose to skip it.

its a great save maneuver when a boss somehow hits enrage mode. You would voke and [Feral Defense], and stall them for (hopefully) enough time to down said boss.

It will *not* protect you from everything.
