Hai, I was trying to find a new MMO after [insert game here] got shut down, and Ragnarok seems to be the most interesting. :I

Onto the point: I downloaded the game from the site, and while it's downloading...maybe 20 minutes in or more. I get an error that tells me it "could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later, or contact the server administrator."

So, any way to fix this? :c

Uuh...it says "download all 13 parts of the archive", do I have to click all of those links and download all of those are do I just download one of them? (But if I download the 1-12 part, do I have to download the part 13? If I download the Part 1-13 then that's all I will need?)

I'll try my best to understand this...

Also why exactly doesn't the download on the site work...?

You must download all 13 parts of the archive. The server that you choose to download the files from and the order in which you download them are irrelevant. (The extension of each file indicates its part number, except for the last part, which has the extension "zip".)

Once you have downloaded all of the parts, open last one with WinRAR, double-click the file named iRO-14.1.2-FullInstall-20120816-2012.msi, and then wait for the IRO client installer to initialise. :)

It works for most people, but not everyone. I don't know why.

So, I do download the files from all of those links? Sorry if I am being stupid or something, but you didn't (maybe I didn't ask the right question) give me the answer I needed most. :I

I'm also just being careful with what I do.

Yes, you have to download all of the files by following the links. :)

Ok, I tried verifying the size of the z01 and z12, and it didn't work. "Select the file" is very vague. I selected it, and did what it said. Didn't work. I must've done something wrong, but I don't know what else to do. :I Should I just download those files anyways? Is it really necessary to check the file size?

Firstly, did you select the files in Windows Explorer (which is named "File Explorer" in Windows 8) or your web browser?

Secondly, when you press alt-enter (which means to press the alt key and the enter key simultaneously) after selecting a file, a window should be opened that shows information about the selected file. If for some bizarre reason the keyboard shortcut doesn't work, then you can also open the window by right-clicking the desired file and then choosing the item labelled "properties" from the contextual menu that is opened.

No, it's not necessary to check the sizes of the files, but it prevents you from being presented with confusing error messages if one or more of the files is corrupted. If you're struggling to follow the instructions, then I recommend that you skip steps 2 and 3.

If you become completely stuck, then send me a private message and I'll give you my Skype or AIM user name so I can help you in real-time.

You must download all of the files, but there are 13 of them, not 12; the last file has the extension "zip".
