HI GUYS

I just started this game for the first time and I made my first character as an archer. What is the best build for a beginner to be able to PvE very well to make money? Right now i've been putting almost all my stat points in DEX and just a few into AGI. Any tips on skill builds would be helpful as well. Please help me out guys !!! Thanks !!

Hi there! I would go with Agi Dex. I usually keep the two some ten to fifteen points apart with Dex on the higher end. If you need heals, you can send my high priest a message (in game name: balud). For equipment, you can research on Eden equipment quests, these are decent and easy enough to get for a newbie. All you need to put in is effort, no zeny required.

If you need healing potions, Eden also offers item collecting quests which you can exchange for red novice potions.

Here's my typical leveling pattern for my archer class character (recently became a ranger):

  • base 1-13: novice training grounds (all monsters)
    >talk to the NPCs there to get exp quests or warped to training ground with higher level monsters
  • base 13-32: ant hell
    >focus on ant eggs and move on to ants when ant eggs exp drops
  • base 32-40: seal
    >warp to comodo, enter comodo east dungeon, go right, then go down
  • base 40 until you get to job 50: grove
    >from seal just go back one map north
    >an alternative is the alligator map right of groves which you can start on at base 42
  • base 55-68: sidewinder
    >warp to al de baran, go two maps south, then two maps west
  • base 58-68: geographer, grand peco, goat
    >warp to al de baran, go one map north, then one map west for geographers
    >move on to grand peco when geographer gets slow by moving one map east, then one north
    >move on to goats when grand peco gets slow by moving one map west
  • base 68-83: harpy
    >from goats map go one map north
  • base 65-80: evil druid
    >this is an alternative, but it's a bit difficult to describe how to get to glashtheim st. abbey
  • base 71-86: ground petite
    >this is an alternative
    >warp to geffen, go one map west, one north, one west again
  • base 80-95: stapo (recommended)
    >warp to veins, go one map south
  • base 80-95: roween
    >warp to rachel, go one map east
  • base 85-99: anacondaq (recommended)
    >warp to rachel, go one map east, then one map north

Of course, you can always do Turn In quests at Eden Headquarters when you hit base 70. Just talk to Gramps.

You can kill spores until 20 or so and bigfoots until 30, if you want to avoid the grief at ants.

I have an alternative to bigfoots, you can go to elder willows just one map east of the spores map in payon. Do this only once you reach level 20-23 as you will need to kill them quickly before they firebolt you. They give really good exp compared to the bigfoots and drop dead branches.

Each dead branch = 50,000 zenny if  you sell them to players.

Go to hugel beach, one map south of hugel town. Hunt shellfish, asters, crabs. They give awesome experience until u hit 60, and do the shellfish eden turn in quest at the same time for even more exp.
