Yup just as what the above stated..its been about 4 days or so.The problem started since the last big maintenance of Renewal.All of 4 my ids in Valk cant be played with the same reason.
I've bound all of them into a warpportal id, i've changed all of the password on all of the ids, i'm not botting/using 3rd party program, and not doing any other crime in ro.
I'd hate to wait because of this double experience event going on.I'm missing on everything while others enjoyed(maybe) their Renewal experience with their own charas.Sent a ticket to customer service too..its just i cant wait anymore. /sob

Well thank goodness the CS representative replied my ticket today.

However the ticket acquired me to explain on my connection to any use of any third party program. But how do I explain something that I didn't even do? Or must I admit the crime accused upon me? This seems like the bad cop-good cop situation..but I do hope that it isn't. =O

So I replied back with the message that I didn't abuse the game regulations. I just wanna have all of my IDs back.. T.T

Hum, i thought that perma bans were 2012 not 2020... Though their asking you to explain it, would imply that it was not a standard ban for botting.

Do not admit to anything you havn't done.

Do you use any proxy services to improve performance? I use lowerping, and havn't had any problems, but i've heard players have occasionally gotten banned for using similar services (and then unbanned, after some hassle) because it can look to the server as if you have the same IP as another user of the same proxy service, who is doing something bad.

Well at first thought when I'm playing iRO I really wanted to use such programs to make the lag goes away. But luckily I found a really simple guide on changing how my OS services work on sending and receiving the internet packet on iROwiki forum, so I don't need one.

And when the CS said that I need to reply for the ticket, he/she did mean to reply on the same one ticket I've been sending right? Not making a new ticket with totally different subject?

You got good results from changing those network settings? Good to hear; they didn't help for me.

Correct, reply to the same ticket, and politely answer the question(s) you were asked, truthfully.

Okay now this may sound ridiculous. ^^

But I need help replying to this request from CS representative. Maybe I don't understand what the whole sentence mean.

It seems that my last reply didn't satisfy them. I'm keeping it simple that I don't by any chance using third party programs or bot. SO how could this be happening when my accounts are restricted from being used?

Please send your answer based on this request below. I really need it to release my beloved characters from the prison. T.T

"Please explain why the accounts in question are connecting from the same play location as several accounts found to be using automated combat programs."

Someone with the same public IP address as you was caught botting. This could happen many ways:

1) Your roommate/family member/pet is botting.
2) You're sharing an internet connection (intentionally or unintentionally) with a botter. This could include colleges or even some smaller Internet Service Providers.
3) Your computer or another computer on your internet connection is being used as a proxy for a botter.

I'm sure there are more possibilities.

Good gracious!

I don't even think a slightest bit that this is an IP address issue.

So I might explain to them that I've been using a wireless broadband service (you know..the one that used the USIM/SIM card) and I am no control of the IP address given by the service provider.

So there might be a slightly low chance that there's a problem with the IP address with so many people roaming the internet using their services. But the important thing is I have full control on my IDs (before I got banned) and I don't bot them.

So how this explanation sounds like? If you are them (CS representative) how would you respond to this? Will you give my accounts back?

Its just a hassle to reply to the ticket so many times..when you don't give them the answer they need. So I must give them the correct and rightful answer..I guess.

If I were the gravity representative, I would answer something like: "Please stop playing fool. We don't only track IPs, but we can track single pcs since the time you registered your accounts, thanks to iesnare. While you might be innocent, playing fool about having a different IP usually doesn't work. If you can provide a valid reason of why third party programs were beng run from the exact same PC as the other accounts, we might consider releasing the accounts".

Not saying that you are guilty, but that is what I would answer XP

I don't know how to reason with things that I didn't do actually. If you are in my shoes (for one thing you are not) how would you tell them the CS?

The situation is you are not botting, and you are banned for things those you didn't do, while telling people that makes you want to rely on luck so much.^^

How will I satisfy the CS representative then? Maybe this is a case of someone hacking my ID's and WarpPortal id ..(they sure took a lot of effort on that)..and use my accounts to bot for them.

Did hackers do that? XP

They do it by tracking IP addresses, not by voodoo magic, Kad.

If you're using wireless broadband, maybe the IP is assigned dynamically, and could have also gone to a botter at some point? That's certainly possible... I think that'd be the most likely explaination for randomly sharing an IP with a bot runner.

Yup I think it all makes sense now.

I'm replying for the third time to the ticket with this information and waiting 4 more days (usually) for their reply again. ^^

Surprisingly I need help from you guys again. This time the CS asked me to provide them with this information.

"Please provide a list of IPs that you connect to this account from first. It will help assist in our deliberation." (they should say 'these accounts', I had 4 of all of my accounts banned in a single warpportal ID)

So how do I find these IPs? (IP addresses I presume.)I have been using the tool at http://www.2privacy....ivacy-test.html so did I get the right thing to reply them in the new ticket?

I've got the number such as this 203.82.XX.XX. The XX item is always changing whenever I make a new connection to the internet..so how do I send the 'list'?

What is the information that the CS asked of me?

Just send them your current one and tell them that you have dynamic addressing and it changes a lot. Then give them 203.82.xx.xx and they should know.

Seems like a lot of (seemingly) innocent people get hassled with crap like this, yet there's a crap ton of bots roaming free that aren't even being delt with..

Sad being banned (hate to use this word but..yeah..) for the things I didn't even know how to do..not even unthinkable 'did'..

Its been like..almost 3 weeks with my issue now. Wish me luck~

I have the same problem right now. I just submitted a ticket. I don't even know why they banned me, even more because i just started to play ragnarok online yesterday since about 3 years ago. This is a sad situation and very frustating indeed.

I have the same problem right now. I just submitted a ticket. I don't even know why they banned me, even more because i just started to play ragnarok online yesterday since about 3 years ago. This is a sad situation and very frustating indeed.


If you're on Ymir, you were probably temp banned for links to the OCA incident this morning. After a mini maint, an npc selling old card albums was implemented. Players bought and opened thousands. GMs didn't realize until hours had gone by, and didn't have a DB backup from the maint, so we got a partial rollback to shortly _after_ the troublesome npc was added, and the GMs locked any accounts that were remotely linked to the OCAs. They're going through and removing OCAs that came from the npc and players who received cards from those OCAs. We will get some form of compensation event, see main forums for more information.

Finally I got all of my ID's back. (today)

Thanks to DrAzzy, brokenguy, and Atha for supporting me all these weeks. Shouldn't be easy for me going through these without you guys. ^^
