Hi guys. I'm having a bit of a problem here. I recently changed my ISP and whenever I try to log into the game (Valkyrie) I get the message "Failed to connect to server" even though the servers are up. I've asked my friends to try and log into my account, and it works for them. I've tried loggin in from my dad's laptop too with a different internet connection, and I can access my account from there too. Even when I enter a wrong ID or Password, it doesn't say that my ID/Password is incorrect. It gives the same damn message as mentioned above.

And if any of you are wondering if I'm using the old client, then my answer would be no. I've reinstalled the renewal client twice, and fully patched it. This is really frustrating. Is it possible that my ISP is blocking iRO in some way? I've tried logging into other online games on my PC and they don't give any problems. Its just iRO. And if this is the case, what information do I need to tell my ISP..like port numbers or something?

Please help me out if and when you guys can. I'd really appreciate it.

Do you have any firewall or internet security programs running that might be blocking it? Some firewall/security programs need to be told what programs to allow to access the internet.

I've put off my firewall, disabled my anti-virus, but it still gives the same problem. I've set the firewall to allow the port 6900 to be free. And still nothing. I really don't know what to do. I just don't want this to go on any longer especially when Renewal has just been launched. >_<

if Patch client gives error, or shows no messages whatsoever: Check that Internet Explorer is not set to Work Offline mode, and that there are no proxy settings. IE should be able to get to iro.ragnarokonline.com without problems.

Use that laptop you said worked from a different location to try to connect to RO using the same source of internet that your main computer does. If it works, then you know the problem is your computer configuration, if it does not work, you know the problem is with your home network infrastructure or your ISP.

Sadly, I don't have access to my dad's laptop since he's gone back to my hometown. I can access the iro.ragnarokonline.com website through IE. I generally use Mozilla though. But I have a pretty strong feeling its either some configuration of my new ISP that's blocking the login. I never had this problem with my old ISP, even though it sucked really bad. Dr.Azzy, if you come across any other person who faced this same problem and solved it, could u kindly paste a link to that thread? I don't have much time on my hands to search through every thread. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
