WoE Survey

We want to get your opinion on certain aspects of WoE, and what we can do to change it so that it is more enjoyable for our players.

I know you guys have no control over what HQ tells you to do... but why did you put this up? Very little of the server could answer it in the first place. Most of the population is going to see it as an insult.

There's a usability issue with the form

 

If I leave some of the questions blank, clicking submit does nothing at all.

 

At the very least, it should show me an error message so that I'll know to fix the form.

Better yet, allow me to answer some of the questions with "no comment".

 

Also, what's an RO2 ID (I use steam)? I have no idea how to get this.

 

That being said, my feedback

 

1. Base of Strength can be taken in less than 5 minutes; it's near-impossible for attackers to break the door down and stop defenders from getting Half Life within that time limit
2. The map is designed for all attacking guilds to work together breaking down the first door; in reality, attacking guilds end up fighting each other. Players tend to have this deathmatch mentality where they instinctively kill all targettable entities
3. Spawn camping is an issue
4. Having WOEs twice a day results in spotty attendance as most people cannot commit to 14 WOEs per week (they'd only show up to some of them and not to every single WOE)
5. Siege items are expensive, resulting in even spottier attendance.
6. Defenders get taxes, which in combination with problem 5 gives them a big advantage
 
To sum it up in simple terms
 
The general sentiment looks like follows:
1. To participate in WOE you need to spend a couple hundred zennys
2. Defender has too much advantage; no way you're going to take over the castle
Conclusion: WOE is a waste of time and money

Remove the siege weapons entirely and allow guild alliances. Problem solved.

They won't do it kilesa, that just makes too much sense. They rather stall until no one wants to participate in WoE and ends up being bored of the little content (that probably doesn't even work right.)

Remove WoE and re make it. 

 

The options on this survey are a joke and wouldnt change a thing.

WoE, A place where defenders get bonus advantages that allow them to kill GMs >> XD This game... this game...

I still think the funniest part is where Aegy has like 15 people on him, no shield fortress and still can eat it like a champ.

 

Yea... This game is too funny at this point.

without a properly working and interesting WoE... RO2, is just like any other MMORPG games... we need the WoE to be fixed ASAP, interesting class upgrades returned :( I don't want to play alone...

siege weapons - we did not need this in Ro1, and we sure --- dont need this here

guild alliances  -  yes 2 alliances for a guild same as Ro1.

more span points on the map, at lest 2 more

Yeah Njoror, WoE is a failure as it is now, it is suppose to be players vs players not a freaking Tower defense game...

I give WOE a F-. I feel like the devs are a bunch of kids that have not played with cannons and catapults in their lives and implemented them into a game where they plagiarized the name "ragnarok online"

Remove the BP loss on death, it's ridiculous that people don't even want to try WoE because of it.

One more issue with the poll - we get a question about gate / other stuff HP and WoE duration. Obviously those two are connected, and while gate HP is too much for current 1 hour WoE, it clearly needs to be tuned differently for 2 hour WoE....

I believe you gotten the "unique buffs" from securing the Bases and Pront Fortress wrong. I participated in the WOE Grand Melee.

 

One guild had secured three bases/fortress; stacking up three buffs

+1,000 HP and +15% movement speed.
+1,000 Defense rate. Bonus skill: <<Half Life>>
 Nullifies all critical damage. Bonus skill: <<Heart Breaker>>
 

While its allied guild had occupied one base

 +200% HP. Bonus skill: <<Lucky Guy>>

 

In my opinion, here is where you gone wrong. You buffed the stronger side of WOE making them even stronger. A forum user suggested to look at WinterGrasp, took a quick read in wiki (never played that game). They introduced a balancing element called "Tenacity"; to help even out the strength of both sides. And you go allowing the above scenario to happen; making it even more unbalanced.

 

Those unique buffs from Bases should be reworked. You should be encouraging the attacking players to capture them. For example: Marching Fortification Base Bonus : Increase Batteling Ram damage on doorss/gates  by x% and Battling Ram movement speed by Y% .How does a defending guild benefit from something like that? It doesn't. The best it can hope for is deny any advancing guilds from having this unique buff.

 

Remove the +1,000 HP and +15% movement speed. buff for Prontera Fortress. They don't need it during WOE and outside WOE; and definitely not in Colo. Have you seen how many Guardians are there in Prontera Fortress?
