We need to do some testing on Classic to test it's stability with a new update we recently implemented. We need a lot of people logged in to Classic, and moving from map to map to see if the stability update fixed the issues with the character server kicking the bucket.

Good luck with this Oda, Classic doesn't hit over 900 during the week, will bet a good 50% of those are bots, another 30 are vendors and alts.
so your looking at maybe 200 active people

This is in no way a trap.
That just makes us all the more suspicious. xD

We would like everyone to log on to every account they have in good standing and stand in prontera. This is in no way a trap.

"Happy Blob" there will be singing and tap dancing! I will see if I can convince Oda to turn this into an event to be held afterwards as well to help get people to show up.Oh No~! It can't be true~ It's the march of the 300 Porings~!

Once you log in, you discover shortly after that you cannot log out. Soon after 4pm a GM shows up and thanks everyone for their participation and warns them they can no longer log their characters out. They will remain permanently in game until the character dies, at which point it will be auto logged out. The GM explains this is to test a new system to improve attendance, and then proceeds to warn players that their character deaths may have adverse effects on their real life, these effects may include diarrhea, headache, nausea or vomiting and upset stomach including Indigestion, Gastroenteritis, Food poisoning, and sometimes Death. The GM then says that upon your likely "forced logout", you are to seek immediate medical attention if you are able. The GM then thanks everyone again for participation and disappears.

Wouldn't it be easier to do this during WoE or something

Maybe this test would interrupt WoE! I'd rather not have that happen.

The character server hasn't kicked the bucket in months as far as I've noticed...

We were monitoring the servers and since we implemented the update on classic, we haven't had a character server crash.

I have noticed that the server runs a ton faster since I came back (around a week ago)
