It simply doesn't work properly.

Counter starts when the map appears on yoru screen. By the time your char actually spawns, it is already at 8-7 seconds. And because of the weird way RO2 handles buff counters when changing map, the counter on-screen might only start as the map loads, but server-side, it actually starts when the loading screen ends. This means that the buff disappears with 3-2 seconds remaining due to the client/server discrepancy (this also happens with other buffs in other maps).

Effective invincibility time = 5 seconds at best.

And even with the full 10 seconds, I'm not sure what it's meant to achieve. Group spawn camping a base, what do you do? Run aimlessly for 10 seconds? Do you think they will give up on you?

I would love some insight from other players about how they use this feature (and from CMs about how we could make it last more than 5 seconds).

It was only meant so you don't die before you even load the map.

... and a few more seconds to gather your jimmies and figure out who you want to try to kill first.

And if you make it 15s, do you think people wanting to kill you will stop chasing you because of that extra 5 seconds? How about 20s?

The problem is that they have to balance it for both ends of the spectrum. If you make it longer than 10s, then people with fast load times can potentially abuse it. Where do you draw the line?

It was only meant so you don't die before you even load the map.

If that was the intention, then it works. It also allows you to quickly assess the map situation and warp back out without dying, so that's another extra use to it I guess!

Agreed, that what we need is preventing death before map loads, not 'I can run freely past precast for 10 seconds'.

U dont need to wait for the map to load to start runing away from the spawn points, by the time u are far enuff u can see the map, and other players.

sorry Taicho, for me the map loads with 10 seconds of the buff still remaining... can't say I have the best internet connection (barely 2mb, sometimes 1mb with a 96~300 ping on speed test), but still get the 10 seconds...

Or are you talking about the WoE times? Haven't tried that

In any case, the invincibility buff really covers the biggest complain about WoE, the dying on loading screen... in my case 5 seconds is enought to jump on someone... or something and provoke some confusion within the enemy ranks.

However it is true that from those 10 seconds, you appear only with 5 still there, in other words the loading screen takes too long. I was worried about that when I heard about the buff, just hope that the people with slow computers don't get too much trouble...

Computer speed, not internet speed. ;/ I haven't seen the limits of the buff myself, but, if I auto run through a portal, I end up 10~20m away when I can finally see the map.. because auto run begins again before everything's completely loaded. I imagine I'd have 2~5s of buff.. but hey, if it's enough to see if people are around then run back out, works for me.
