Since the event page isn't up yet, why don't we share some info we got here:
King Poring:
The server will only announce when King Poring is revived/died if you are at South Prontera field.
King Poring has plant defense, thus each attack hits him for 1 damage (?).
When King Poring dies, coins drop around the whole map in a span of ~30 seconds (so the coins don't all drop at once). They disappear like normal dropped items, and porings eat them a lot.
King Poring is revived 30 minutes after he dies; the server will announce when he spawns and when he dies.
Headgears:
The coin machines are located at South Prontera near Kafra.
There are 5 headgears; 4 different colored Poring Hairpins and 1 King Poring Hat.
They are all fully tradable/vendable, including the King Poring Costume Hat.
You can +7 the King Poring Hat and make it into a costume, and the costume will lose the effects from the original hat.
You can enchant the colored hairpins for stats, with a 55% chance to break per try. It costs nothing to enchant.
Enchants go from +1-5 from any of the 6 stats; enchanting them again would replace it (or break the headgear).
Questions:
Does King Poring drop anything else when he dies, right below him?
Can you burn through plant defense with Burn status? Or maybe not, because King Poring should be a Boss Protocol monster.
Are the lists of prizes accurate? I.e. Did you get anything outside the list of prizes?
Tips:
1) Since the coins drop in a span of 30 seconds, it is best to occupy a general area for yourself and take the coins there, instead of flywinging into someone else's area.
2) Coins tend to drop near borderlines (next to walls, on top of walls which makes it inaccessible, etc) which most trees are at. I see people walking by those coins a lot, so use your mouse and sweep by those areas.
3) Kill every poring you see, they swallow a lot of coins and I once got 5 coins from one poring.
4) If you are waiting in an area, clear some porings and take their loot, so that no "10 limit loot" porings are there. Or else, they'll eat the coins and won't spit it out.
5) If you want to collect all the hats, instead of spamming the machine, try trading your extras with others.
6) At the moment, getting the Headgears are pretty cheap. ~2 runs can get you one random one. If you're willing to trade away extra colored hairpins for the King poring hat, these "free" head gears are cheaper if you +7 directly with enriched instead of using Safe to 7 certs, especially after 4 weeks.
