We all know the gum was a big time bummer... for most of the part !!... I wish we could change it to costume but you guys would want it to be +8 and we can't because its a lower gear. 
But how about this.. Make the gum effect work along with sacrifice of RG !! like guard and reflect damage !!
Why you ask ??

For one yea its biased because i have a RG !! 
but also its perfect for that class !! 

for example when u take a Sura .. they go on MS !! to get heavy tank and can't attack with one shots or powerful damage !!
for gene they can't tank to get the effect activated !!... 
I guess you will see what am speaking off now

this improves the balance of class !! with other class in pvm in mvp situations

so just ask for more high proc on gum

Personally, I think it should have a slightly higher rate of success. in 4 hours in the Abyss Dungeon it only worked once. that kinda sucks.. and it's quite a short time too.
