From what I've gathered here, it seems that someone got 'scammed' into buying 1x Master Red and now has had their jimmies rustled. :)

That being said, I can only agree with what others have posted so far:

It's your fault alone if you get tricked by the AH 'scammers'

My point of view :

This trick is intentional and works fine with impulsive buyers. Usually, people who buy master reds are buying many stacks and keep their attention on the price. Seeing a 27z stack among 29-30z stack of pots may result in an insta-buy. It's like a "semi-trap" since the buyer got all the informations but was blind by his impulsive tendency.

Edit: Wonder why i wrote about compulsive when i thought about impulsive.

Dear lord... Is people really going to complain about this? I just came from playing another MMO for YEARS, and I have never, not even ONCE, been scammed by the thousands of tricks similar to this (and way worse) pulled by a lot of greedy idiots. Worse is, this game doesn't even have an AH system implemented, people put up an item for sale on a tradelist and they either set whatever price they "think" is okay (usually some very ridiculously high one) or write "offer" on it. You can't even see any other bids on it, or even if the person truly has said item. It made for people to get unlazy and actually pay attention to what they do. This MMO I talk about, has even more room for "pulling tricks" to scam people who don't pay attention, simply because it was badly developed in some aspects. And yet, I've never got scammed or tricked not even once. How? By paying attention to what's being sold, its amount, quality, and price. Don't like it? Move to next page and keep checking. Noone EVER forces you to buy at stupidly high prices, and even if everyone sells at such price, if noone buys the price eventually goes down.

Players who pull dirty tricks like this, 1pot=30z expecting silly buyers to quick-buy without paying attention, are bad, yes. We got that. But you can't go around accusing everyone of actually doing this (without SOLID evidence), or report anyone who sells for a price you don't like. Wth, guys. Tha'ts plain stupid. I'm a very new player in this game, but even I can see when something is being sold at a very stupid price. Will I report this person? No, because they ARE free to sell at whatever price, even if I think it's not good. I simply skip that item and proceed to find something cheaper. For all I know, this person might be setting the right price, but just because I think it's too high doesn't mean they're scammers. Another example would be.. if you go out for dinner and while talking with a friend you leave your purse on your seat, then both leave the place and when you come back, your purse is gone.. Who's fault was it? Sure, the police might find and punish this "thief" who stole the purse, but if you're not careful, this situation will repeat, over and over again (with possibly worse outcomes), whereas if you learn from this and pay attention and keep your purse with you all time, it won't happen again. Same thing applies here.

Again, the 1pot=30z can pretty much be a trick for silly people. But the best way to deal with this and prevent it... is to pay attention before buying. Noone says these "bad players" are cool and what they do is fine; but ultimately, it is YOUR responsability to take care of your money and spend it wisely. GMs can't and don't have the time to go chasing every single person that someone calls "scammer!" without real evidence.

Again, NO, it s not a good thing to pull tricks like this in AH. These people are obviously taking advantage of those who buy without thinking. But the best and most efficient way to prevent this, is not a GM's banhammer or even more pop-ups warnings, etc; the best, fastest and most efficient way is to PAY ATTENTION.

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" I encourage you to proceed with caution next time you play the Auction house game. Spending a few extra seconds reviewing your desired purchase or bid can save you from face palming. Pessimism 4 the win

... Better not buy things in AH while I'm feeling sleepy, huh?

Same goes for selling when sleepy. I found some cheap costume fusions in AH and went to resell the 3, only to realize I forgot to seperate the stack. So someone got an even better deal :P

Guys, this thread has gone on long enough. There is nothing against the rules about posting items for higher prices. You don't have to buy them.
