Hello,

 

I recently read an article about how GMs check on people buying zeny. So I would like to know two things

 

1: Will I be banned if I trade huge amount of zeny (100mil~500mil) between my accounts?

 

2: Will I be banned if some friend (guildie) try to fund me for a gear?

What is forbidden is "buying zeny with real money" --> this kind of "transaction" is not allowed and will get both of the parties punishable of being banned

 

1. Transfering zenies between your accounts is allowed, whatever the amount is (you wouldn't be able to rebirth if you couldn't do it)

2. It depends on what you mean by using the word "fund". If it's paying gears using zeny (or other gears if you both agree on the value), it's all good

 

To sum-up : 

Buying/Selling zeny (with real life money) is totally illegal.

Buying/Selling gears using zeny is recommanded, since it's the currency in game.

I don't think that's what he's asking about. It seems like he is asking if he has his own 800 mil or so on one account and jsut wants to move it to his other account if the GM's will notice that a lot of zeny was moved and if they will suspect it as if he bought the zeny and was receiving it from the seller. Which in the case he is proposing it's already his zeny but just being moved to another account.

Moving onto the answers:

1. Not sure how they particularly track the zeny being sold by zeny sellers but it is safe to move zeny to another account. I have moved probably billions around between my accounts and not once have I received a ban. So it's safe to do.

2. It's absolutely fine for them to give you zeny for you to go buy gears or for them to give you gears. However, make sure they are allowing you to keep these gears or if they will be wanting them back. You don't want to ruin your friendships by keeping items that were meant to be given back. On the topic of them giving you zeny to fund you, It happens all the time. People donate zeny to friends or just random people.

You can be banned if they lend you illegitimate zeny. Highly unlikely though, as even if your friends are buying massive amounts of zeny the gms are not doing much about it.

In regards to the large zeny transfers. They can tell where each account is located. If ur transfering 500m from ur main to ur alt using the same ip, that would make sense. But if ur transfering or recieving 500m to/from another account with some far off ip address, that would look suspicious and raise some red flags.

I think the way they track if you have bought zeny is when they catch the account/character that zeny sellers use to trade zeny to people they check its trade log and bans people who traded with it other than that you can do w/e you want with your zeny.

Well, people regularly make trades in the 500m~1b+ range all the time via trades set up in Eden/forums... I was extremely nervous with my first 1b+ trade (obtaining Deviling carded garment), as I simply had to trust the other person and hope that they actually stuck around for the 2nd trade with the item I wanted. Intense, lol! >.>

 

Many years ago, when it was still Gravity, I remember when they would shut down a zeny selling site, Gravity would subpoena their sales records and use that list to ban all of the RO accounts that had transactions with them. Oh, and the account would show up on the good ol' Ban List, hahahah. :]

 

If you want, we can trade back a billion zeny a few dozen times to see if a GM shows up. I've tried it before, and it didn't work LOL. xD

If its an individual that is banned, it's more then Lilkely they did something illegal. Will they post or qq to friends that they got "banned for no reason" or say "I got banned for botting 20b"? More often then not people will play the innocent victim card. Someone got banned and probably doesn't want to be embarrassed as well.

When it comes to guilds getting banned, it's a much different story. There are some very biased things that happen.

Moral of the story, as long as you don't do anything illegal, you won't get banned.

More like, as long as you regularly buy WPE from WarpPortal, you won't get banned.
