how about an Exp event for homunculus?

i think its time that warp portal starts addressing the fact that the homunculus system was never updated for leveling in renewal, and they give us genetics a break with an exp event! i know theyve done loyalty events in the past, but how about something we can all use!  

 

 

As a genetic, not only do you have to grind yourself to 150, but then you have to grind an AI pet to 150 at an even worse exp rate as well. At least players can do TIs, pop battle manuals, and even do a few game quests for exp boosts. But the homunculus get nothing. its a slow horrible painful grind to get your homunculus levels and it pretty much leaves the homunculus completely obsolete for your leveling journey to 150. that is a very poor inefficient system imo. players shouldnt have to wait till months after hitting level 150 to have access to spells that were meant for leveling!

 

honestly, i think that homuncs should get a better exp rate permanently, or at least allow genetics to put their TI exp towards their homunculus, but at this point, i would even settle for an increased exp event. and im not talking about one that doesnt stack with the current spotlight or something sheisty like that. im talking full blown exp event so if we want, we can go to the spotlight for the increased bonus stacked on top. something along the lines of a x3-x4 exp event that only effects homunculus.

 

id like to hear some feed back from people in charge on if this is a possibility or not

i agree......it is time for another loyalty event.........i'd really like to get my homunc to 150 and loyal

The GMs have no facility to boost exp earned by homun except a server-wide exp event that works for players too. There was some discussion about this a while back. 

 

Also, leveling homun isn't really hard. You just stick it in OD2 when you're home and doing other crap, and set a timer for 1 hour to remind you to go back and feed it.

that sounds like a copout for 'they have no idea what theyre doing'. if the homunculus is an entity, then it can be edited to receive more xp, just like how a character can receive boosted XP on a battle manual outside of a global server xp change. they can edit the homunculus to simulate an indefinite battle manual boosted xp. (bmx3 preferred). also speeding up the hunger timer would be nice too, but this thread is specifically for ways to get our homuncs to level faster so that we can actually use them as we level up, instead of spend endless hours getting them to loyal just to have them rot in the vapor zone till were ready to sacrifice our lives to leveling them

Here's how to do it. Make a seperate map that only genetics can get to with a specialized high exp mob that's level 1. Homunculus don't get reduced exp for mobs out of level range but it'd keep genetics from leveling there. Tada ez.

The GMs do not have access to the server source code, nor would they be legally authorized to modify it if they got it somehow. 

 

All they can do is request that the developers, who can do this, add a facility to allow GMs to do these things. And the developers can choose whether or not to implement it (I think some things like this were requested a while back, and they chose not to do anything about it). And that's assuming the developers are competent; remember how long we've been waiting for the devs to fix the DST bug.

killedbytofu, you should know this by now. It's kRO we're talking about here. The most we can probably do is something along the lines of what Viri suggested. That's assuming our GMs can duplicate a monster sprite and give it different stats/exp/levels/etc from their normal counterparts for Homunculus grinding.

Yeah... That's not going to happen, so you'll have to rely on information from fellow forum members.

 

They can change the homunculus experience tables, if I'm not mistaken.

 

By the way: If you'd spend half the time levelling that you do complaining, you would have less of a problem training your homunculus S and/or the countless of characters that you seem to have.

most people have lives outside of the house (maybe?), so there's no hope leaving the computer running while afk-ing the homun, unless people are using auto-feeding program. I've tried it (afk levelling), but 10-15% in an hour doesn't really impress me.

i have 22 characters and 6 of them are 150 or about to hit 150. what are you talking about lol. its not good to just assume things =p

 

and the homuncs shouldve been fixed a long time ago but it seems to just be an ignored subject and most people just give up and dont even bother to level them. half of the 150 gens in my guild dont even have homunculus because theyre so worthless in their current state (the spells are fantastic but impossible to get if you have a life) and the people playing the gens dont have time to afk 10 hours a day because they all have full time jobs and lives lol.

this. 10 hours a day for 1 homunc level is absolutely disgusting. gravity is just encouraging third party use with exp rates that bad. i already have 3 gens now that i mvp with regularly that i made in the time it takes someone to get 1 homunculus to 120+. thats just plain stupid.

 

the seperate map idea is genius though. they would have to make it a round map that keeps the respawn algorithm flowing so that mobs dont all bunch up in a corner

My homu gain 1 atk only for each level. is that normal?? or should i remake one?
