don't you think we should have another event like this so that we can get rid of our useless cards?

but instead of an OCA, maybe another reward such as mystical card album for higher points or more than 1 OCA or even a miniboss such as Ghostring, MayaP, Deviling for XX points. or anything you think that will be good.

hope to consider this.

NO! Bots would definitely become richer man. That just sucks.

Keep it the way it is. Useless cards don't bother anyone. If you want OCA's you can kill MvP's, Jokers, Wanderer, etc. If you want MCA's you can kill bio4 mvps.

I'd be fine with that idea if the rewards weren't valuable.. Like if it were literally just honey or some other weird items. Not OCA's or MCA's. Nothing profitable but just something to remove 100% useless cards. lol

1-2 OCA per 100 useless card sounds right to me. (Chance to get 1 or 2 more useless card by trading 100 of them, lol). Trading any amount of cards for a mini-boss or MVP card seems like a very bad idea though.

 

If possible, make the OCA account bound, making people forced to open them. It would be funny to see someone getting another Poring card or Lunatic card from that, lol.

I think trading for supplies is another alternative.

I wonder what about trading in for account bound consumables? I wish there's a way to make MVP loots useful again too. Oda addressed that it's due to bots and the loots dropping from other monsters than MVP, they wouldn't fix Merry Badger as well to take in MVP loots.

 

Majority of the MVP loots are worthless now it's painful. It makes MVPing hardly worth it unless it's just for the cards. The one way to getting rid of the items is to trade them into consumable items. White potions used to be one of the main ways for zeny to sink as well so they just need to have a way to get rid of it.

I do respect the idea, but there are far too much bots farming zillions of cards. I'd want something account bound for the reward, like account bound costume would be nice. So no one can make profit, but just turning in useless cards.

I agree to the idea of making the trade-in reward account-bound supplies/costumes, otherwise bots would be the greatest winners of this.

They are a winner in any case. If the items are made account bound, bots will just start selling the cards for a little higher rate than usual and make a mint out of their "hard earned" loot.

This is why I suggested OCA to be account bound. If its account bound, having OCA in inventory is of no use, most people will open it and more often than not they will just get back the scrap they traded initially. If they get a rare valuable card, its just their luck.

 

No one will complain for this, since people are trading useless card, I think even the OCA is a good reward for something that is just occupying space in their storage.

Even if the OCA is account-bound, the cards that will come out of it won't be.

 

Bots have literally thousends of cards and thus a way higher chance of getting a good card out of a OCA.

 

If people buy these overpriced "useless" cards from bots, that's their fault, but at least we don't present the bots with a pretty high chance of gaining millions with one card.

Its easier to earn more by selling individual loot cards than gaining a rare card from OCA.

And it being people's fault, I dont think its really their fault. You or me cannot distinguish between a vendor who's sale source is a botter or a regular guy. A person who do not bot wont really have the required amount of cards, some may fall short of 10, some 20, so they obviously will look to buy them off from a vendor.

 

The probability of getting a good card that is worth more than 10-20mil is low with OCA.

 

I know botters are a big problem, but it does not mean that regular, legit players should be harmed. In any case, thinking of a normal crowd so be given a priority. Just because there are botter, normal people dont deserve to suffer.

 

Having all that said, I do support the idea of supplies myself. But just wanted to say that OCA would be a zeny/card sink.

trade any 10 mvp cards for 1 mvp card of your choice. yeeeeah

better to do like the gold scaraba cards or whatever. trade in 10 of the dropable card for an upgraded version of the card, that while not powerful, may have actual use.

Example: 10 poring card -> 1 silver poring card. 10 silver poring -> 1 Gold poring card.

Poring Card
Weapon: luk +1, p.dodge +1.

Silver Poring Card
Weapon: LUK +2, P.Dodge +2, ATK +5.

Gold Poring Card
Weapon: LUK +3, P.Dodge +3, ATK +7. If worn by novice class character, Exp rate +7%.

Gold versions of +3 stat food dropper cards would drop +10s. And I would have lots of bonuses that require specific job of character, that way the effects could be desireable/useful without stepping on the toes of cards dropped by more powerful monsters.

I think the bots won last time this event happened because most of them have stacks of 30k card piles per account, so they got 300 OCA's per monster they botted, per account.

 

If there were going to be a trade-in, it'd have to be for something of nominal value, about 5-10k per card. Probably eden merit badges if those are still a big thing.
