Hey guys, this is my 1st trade > 1B, and I was wondering how I pay 3B to someone for a card without getting totally scammed. Do I get a GM involved (somehow?) or just trade 1B, 1B, then 1B for the 3B card in 3 separate trades......... which means I could easily get ripped off.

First deal: 2b for the card
second deal: 1b for nothing.
or you can just screen shot if you are scared

Probably something like this, for example:

 

1st 1b - deal it to him for an item worth the same value. (ex: +12CEB etc) til he gets 3b in total zeny and you get 3b worth of his items. (total of 3 deals) Then on your 4th trade, deal him back the items worth 3b for the card you are initially gonna buy.

Eh just deal 1 Bil at a time and screen shot it. Also you can open a 1-1 chat saying you buying that card for 3 Bil and your making 3 x 1 Bil trades screen shot that he says yes and then you have proof as well

why would you do it that way? if you have collateral for the first bill, the second trade should be his card for 2b + his CEB.

Oh  forgot about the 999,999,999 trade cap. I was thinking about how you can hold 2.1b+.

What happens if you do get scammed and report it? Do you get your zeny or do they just get banned?

In my humble opinion, they should increase the carrying Capacity of zeny to reflect Renewal Ragnarok Online's inflation at least.

 

There is more item variety on Renewal than ever before - and this number is growing. However, I don't participate in RO Classic so I cannot comment there.

This would ease trading amongst players and command trust when buying something which cost the player much currency. Adding to the player's fun-factor.

 

This would also reduce the ammount of player complaints against "scammers" and dissuade said scammers altogether from operating in dishonest ways.

Your get your zeny back and I'm pretty sure they would get a ban as well maybe not long but eh they win nothing, kinda pointless to try and scam on high end stuff easy to prove with a few screen shots of chats and trades

That would be nice, but to have them implement it...that is another challenge all together.

A nice idea but lets be honest here we all know what people who play this game are like they will look to scam it somehow and dupe coins or something always trying to find bugs to profit off!

I did in the past even 20b+ trades with no GMs. And more important : never got scammed a single time.

 

Usually, first of all you will ask to see the card/gear.

 

Check on ropd/wp forum/irowiki (if possible) who is that person.

 

Always main to main trade.

 

And then, before the deal, you can type in chat something like (i'm usually doing this every time) : "Today, 25 August 2013, @ 2pm PST timezone, i'm buying a Kiel card for 25b from ????? Agree ?". Then you will start to deal 1b,2b,3b,4b... and take screens of the whole trade. Then keep saying 1b/25b given right ? Yes. 2/25b given and so on.

 

Finally In the last trade 25b/25b (last 999,999,999z) and Kiel card and "Full payement received right ? Yes. Ok now the kiel card is mine. Agree ? Yes."

 

 

Always worked this way.

I recently been in a similar transaction..what happen is gravity  "suspend" your account for a the time being coz of thier "investigation", then your ticket gets close until further notice. So, as of now, im waiting on a reply (but i finally got my account back after I email them saying why I shouldn't be the one being punish).. moral of the story is, if you do zeny transaction and the deal went sour,I'm sure that you'll get your zeny/items back, but in a timely matter (like sending in a refund ticket where it takes 4-6 weeks), don't for the that you'll be suspended during that time frame also =)

You will have obviously all your zenys back if you have screens to prove that.

I am pretty sure sure you give me a select few existing npcv scripts for reference and a few hours with a restartable test server and I will have for you the 1b token system.

In tRO (Thailand Official Server) Years ago if you need help on trading, you can just call they hotline number (anytime 24/7) and wait 5-10mins for GM to be appeared.

 

but now they ve gotten some sort of Diamond exchanger for 500m/ea which to prevent scam on trades. I hope GM would consider implement that. Example, if you buying 50b it would be 100Diamonds = Whatever item you buying. The seller can redeem their diamond anytime when they need to use zeny

 

 

 

PS. The Diamond is stack able

So for iRO how do u contact a GM to be a middleman for trades? Im assuming we can just PM them but what are their igns? Or do we use other ways to contact them like forums/tickets maybe?

can't say i've ever had an issue with high end trades, even though went through all the stuff of spelling it out ingame first between parties, its still a matter of crossing fingers and hoping for the best.

 

I dont know of anyone who had to do an investigation due to high end scam, but it could be a lengthy return if they bail halfway through a trade or something. woe1 god items must be a real headache to trade even just managing account toon space.
