Maintenance complete.

 

Patch Notes 8/28

*please note these are subject to change or updated at any time. 

 

 

1. WOE

A. WoE Start

i. WoE will be scheduled for every Sunday, at 11:00am PDT. 2nd time TBA.

ii. Tax rate changes (award for holding changed from 0% to normal)

 

B. Guild Expert skill

i. Guild skills can be acquired by 'Guild Skill Book', and is also needed to level up the skills. (Have to start from low level, and work the way up step by step)

ii. 'Old ancient document' and 'Simple repair tool' is needed to learn guild skills

  -'Old ancient document' can be acquired from Prontera Fortress' field monsters (low drop rate)

  -'Simple repair tool' is sold by the Kafra service (that can store your locations)

  -If you use a 'Simple repair tool' on an 'Old ancient document', then you can gain a 'Guild skill book'. 

iii. Guild skills can be referred below:

C. WoE Balance

i. BP gains/losses during WoE have been removed. 

ii. Unable to recover gateway or castle gate with supplies. 

iii. BP will be rewarded according to level of contribution from attacking gates. *You have to be on the map when the gates are destroyed to get the rewards

iv. Monsters in Prontera Fortress will divide rewards based on level of contribution. 

v. WoE Kafra path to West Barracks from Prontera Fortress has been fixed. 

vi. Unable to set siege item near entrance.

vii. Siege weapon balancing:

viii. Emperium Balancing

1. [Base of Power]Half Life

   -Name changed to Half & Half

   -Effect changes

2. [Base of Advancement Skill] Sacrifice attack of advance

   -Effect changes: If you attack target, gates with consuming your own HP, additional damage will increase 200% (total 3 times damage)

ix.Level to register attack has been changed from Lv. 50 to Lv. 10

x. Issue of players able to jump over the first wall is fixed. 

 

 

2. AOD

A. AoD entrance is in Northeastern Divided Plain

B. You have to first pass COA Hard quest to challenge AoD

   i. Lord's Will

      1. Start condition: Complete 'The Ultimate Weapon of Alberta'

      2. Start/Complete NPC: Heinz Stober/Trade Master Onasis of Alberta (Alberta Merchant Union)

      3. Complete: Deliver 'Lord Grupaz's Will' to Trade Master Onasis of Alberta

   ii. Exotic Antidote

      1. Start Condition: Complete Lord's Will

      2. Start/Complete NPC: Trade Master Onasis of Alberta/ Gold Hunter Brigel (Divided Plains)

      3. Complete: Deliver the "Nidavellir Antidote' to Gold Hunter Brigel at the Hunter office of the Divided Plains. 

   iii. Hunter Summon

      1. Start condition: Complete ‘Exotic Antidote’

      2. Start/Complete NPC: Gold Hunter Brigel / Reidin Kerse (Dawn Peak of the Divided Plains)

      3. Complete: Meet Reidin Kerse at Dawn Peak of the Divided Plains.

   iv. [Dungeon] Master Hunter's Test

      1. Start condition: Complete ‘Hunter Summon’.

      2. Start/Complete NPC: Reidin Kerse / Reidin Kerse

      3. Complete: Collect 'Victor's Points (III) by clearing the Raid Dungeon 'Abaddon of Despair' in NORMAL Mode and give them to Reidin Kerse.

C. If you clear AoD, you can get 'Victor Points (iii)'

D. Dungeon grader and AoD merchant NPC will show up in Prontera and Alberta. 

   i.Filomena Marsh: AoD NORMAL shop merchant

   ii. Hunter Monica : AoD HARD shop merchant

    iii. Hunter Kunibert : AoD dungeon grader

 

 

3. Kafra Update

A. Kafra update list

i. Munil's Accessory Random Box VIII

ii. Premium mount box 14 day

iii. New mount

iv. Thief Elixer (increase drop chance)

v. Bomb No. 99 removed, needs to be introduced differently.

vi. Mayer Plumberge Random Box

 

B. Phantom Pyramid

i. 7F Revenge of Hermina will change to Odin’s descended guitar 

ii. 3F Fashion mask random box changes to Fashion glasses random box

 

C. Munil Trade item changes

i. Unable to trade butterfly mask anymore with chance coupons

ii. 10 of chance coupon can be traded to Afro hair (perm 1 slot)

iii. 10 of Plumeria seed can be traded for tree bark 

iv. 10 of tree bark can be traded to Blue Leaf 

v. 10 of Blue Leaf can be traded to Mayor Plumberge

vi.100 of Plumeria can be traded to khara title - Mayor Plumberge name tag

 

D. Set effect of the Month Changes

i. Girl’s beach set effect, Boy’s beach set effect, KAfra with forgetfulness set effect will extend to Sep. 11

ii. Odin’s message set effect will extend to Oct. 10

 

E. Fusion Table components are added. *more info coming 

 

4. Dungeon

A. COA (H) monsters' Enrage time changed

i. Mini Mongi --> Skill: Enraged Twins --> from 600 to 720

ii. Rat Master Kremp --> Skill: Furious Guillotine Fist ---> from 720 to 840

iii. Golden Robberbug ---> Skill: Final Struggle ---> from 600 to 720

 

5. Skills

i. Dark Illusion giving "You cannot move to that location error" --> fixed

ii. Shadow Fiend rand 2 not summoning --> fixed

iii. Unable to use Land of Recovery and Deluge at the same time --> fixed

iv. Mark of Death

v. Moonlight Drive

6. System Modification

i. You have to get off the mount first before you can use skills

ii. You cannot enter Colosseum while using Kafra Flight

iii. Guild notice maximum characters increased to 100. 

iv. Fail to complete Quest text changed to an icon.

 

7. New Events

A. Refine Event

   i. Refinement rate increases (+5 above: 2x more chance)

   ii. Date: Aug 28- Sep 11

B. Level up incentive box

  i. Able to get level up box through mailbox after creating a character

C. Mayor Plumberge Event   *more info coming

Sin gets new form.

Rogue gets buffs

Monks still have broken skills since release.

The good WoE fixes are implemented after Test Season is over.

This is just too much.

Not enough Monk players compared to the Sin, Rogue, Warrior, Sorc, and possibly even Knight playerbase.

Even if we did complain/make logical comparisons/highlight key issues, there is barely enough of us to make it a priority fix.

 

Our Lightning Walk is bugged exactly like Dark Illusion.

G-Fist still sucks. Big time sucks. And buggy. Extremely buggy.

No crowd control outside G-Fist.

No Party Buff. Nope.

No AGI on armor, just tons of useless WIS.

 

Oh and did I mention our playerbase is non-existent almost? Might as well expect Knights to get randomly buffed at this rate.

 

But the notes are good. Only thing missing is making CoA easier now so AoD can be that super challenge for people.

Hiho sexy Zanbee,

 

1º One request for Rogues is to reset their skills to let them re-make their points as you're going to change MoD for GOOD, i think, isn't fair for them spend 1.6k zeny every Rogue if the skill is worth to put points on it.

2º Shadow assault is still giving "You cannot move to that location error" on different flats. (Colosseum, Dunes, Mountains etc)

3º Any date about new Shadow form being released?

4º Can you post the results of the poll you made about the date of WoE? wonder about the day/time...

 

 

@Ice~: tax when entering Prontera Fortress zone, means it won't be "free" during WoE.

@Meco~: Do a topic on the Community forum and let's argue about it there, someone "monk" gotta start with it, if you want to be heard.

In case of danger, use the new Emergency Bomb No.99 to escape to safety.

 

The Emergency Bomb.99 deal a massive 90,000 damage to a single-target monster 5 meter from you. It comes with a 5 seconds knock-down effect and ignore defense ability.

 

However, there is a 10 minutes cool-down period for each Emergency Bomb.99 and the knock-down effect does not apply on all Boss Monsters.

 

Ratmaster Hard: 2.6mil HP (enrage timer: 14 minutes)

Free damage: 90k damage * 10  raid members * 2 casts in 14 minutes = 1.8 mil

 

Re-defining P2W.

 

If you really want such an item, make it do like ~10-15k damage, cause there's no challenge in raiding when you can do 900k - 1.8mil damage for free every boss encounter.  Free 100k-150k dmg isn't as huge, but 900k would be too much.

 

Well, I'm quoting the changes from SEA, so I'm not sure if it's going to be the same here. How much damage will you guys make it do here on iRO2?  I hope you guys are more reasonable... >_>

You forgot our crappy scaling on gear. Lowest ATK, damage stats and DEF.

I won't say the notes are good because some of the biggest issues are still remaining:

 

Pets in colo was not addressed.

Pets bugging Raid bosses (And bosses in general) were not addressed..

Know what else is gonna show up in Colo and Raids after this update? That's right the p2w bomb will be usable in those environments and only after people abuse the hell out of it for a week or two will WP make a statement about "fixing" it. Then you'll have to wait 2 more weeks for a fix that won't work.

 

Prepare for the "We didn't know" or "We were told they wouldn't work in Colo/Raids" posts and the ensuing -_-storm.

ONE THING... they only listen to certain people they wanna hear and consider worthy:P From the very first day I played as monk here, I have seen numerous threads regarding petitions on improving the MONK class..., but up until now, nothing has been done... now we can't see anymore threads regarding that matter, WHY? Is it because the problem has been resloved? or All the People complaining are just bunch of crybabies?... Answer is : NO... The reality is, at the present, there is now only a handful of MONKS actively playing... and we dont give a damn anymore about this game :P Clearly shows incompetence, favoritism and corruption lingers behind the curtain :P

So support classes are left out of the equation then? Isn't that somewhat unfair for what's allegedly supposed to be a teamwork effort?

There are probably less than 20 Monk mains on the server. Still, how can they justify something like Intimidation not resetting with SSS despite it being broken since the games release? LW was just fine until they tried fixing colo abusing skills. The result is that any targeted tele won't work if your target is on slightly higher ground or a solid object impedes your direct path with about a 3m buffer, and yet ranged can still shoot through solid surfaces. They broke something that didn't need fixing.

It's bad enough that devs and the staff don't play this game or understand how it really works. If they did we wouldn't get crap like current Monks (Missing an entire stat and horrible scaling on gear) and BMs (Being worthless and incomplete as a class) Tank/DPS gear missing crucial stats (HIT/Vigor for Tanks, Dodge for MDPS) nor would pets in colo be a thing.

The bottom line is our class should have it's issues resolved with the same priority as any other class regardless of it's popularity.
