So it seems the boss drop chances are severely off. Or maybe it's just the %'s in the game at all.

I farmed a boss for nearly 20 Hours ( 18 ), and never got a single rare item.

 

This was with +50% Drop Chance from the Black Cadet costume 5/5, and +25% Drop Chance from my stockpile. Also, I was 1 level from the Boss turning blue on me.

Something is really wrong with this system.

Also, about the %'s; even when refining with like 50%, you fail like 7.5/10 attempts. It's just really screwy, and I think it should be looked into lol.

Animal leg bone on 230 map that so reflects the hard work grinding and patience it takes to get to 230 u get a leg bone. Epics do drop but so rarely its not something you really want to farm all day for week after week the system just takes the piss out of players. And if you spend real money and get crafting skill it don't work or valor reward skill it don't work either. Still they did fix buff sets and party experience ones we so needed fixed. The leg bone is whats wrong in game the drops on most maps stink but we told them over and over and all we get is we are satisfied drops are working fine. I think you got a load of people who are not satisfied or pleased they are ignored

The boss in question is, the Moon Sister Inguz in " Forgotten Temple (B1) ".

 

As for duplicates of the boss, there are none.

Thanks Leo for the drop table. I can see why it's taking so long to get, at just 4.3% chance to get any of the Beautiful stuff.

Do you think you could reduce the respawn timer by 15 min, so we have 2 chances / hour to kill this boss. The wait time right now seems quite long for the chance to get good rewards.

Like I was saying, I spent almost 20 hours one day trying to get this Beautiful stuff, and it never dropped. Even with my extra 75% drop rate from items I was wearing.

It is supposed to be rare, and maybe I'm trying to make it too easy... but it just seems like it could be adjusted a little bit.

From what we saw the other night the spawn rate was about 50 min.  And it is rare and the beautiful jewelry only drops from the Moon Sister and Moon Brother.

Respawn time is 50 minutes. If the drop rate is at 4.5%, you can easely calculate what you should've got in theory:

 

18 hours = 1080 minutes : 50 = 21.6 = 21 bosses. 

 

So in theory you should've gotten, indeed, rare items (since you're getting 3-4 items per drop). But then again, it's defined by LUCK (e.g. the bonus drops from the event were still there).

It's actually 45 min. You time it the moment the boss dissapears ( visually ), and not when it's HP hits 0. 

Due to human reaction, the boss spawns around 44 min 55 Sec.

And yea, in theory... I should have gotten it. I did get the Beautiful Necklace from Dagaz when I got off work earlier today, farming for like 4 hours...

Day 4: Still, nothing has dropped from this boss. I wonder if it's bugged.

Dagaz gave me the Necklace like I said in an earlier post... so maybe he is the better chance.

The drop rates and frequency of the monster spawn is what makes the item rare.

The power of the item and what it does for a character build, is what makes it desirable.

The amount of time you put in to get it, is what makes it valuable.

Actually getting it, is what makes you lucky. ;)

 

I don't see a reason for it to be changed from how it is, but I wish you the best of luck getting it!

True. It's just getting annoying lol.

I will continue to farm for it regardless. I must reach my goal.

 

 

EDIT: I do have a suggestion though. Some of the drops in the rare section of this boss are kind of lame.

I don't think the following should be in the rare section, but rather the Uncommon section of ( 27.6% Chance ):

 

  • Aurum Drill
  • Lisent U
  • Hermes

These items I find more fit for uncommon / common drops, rather than rare. I think they should be dropped from regular mobs, or like half-bosses ( Enemies with larger than normal amount of health/ difficulty ).
Bosses should toss out bigger rewards for the amount of time spent fighting them, and waiting on them.

 

Additionally, earlier today, I was killed the Moon Sister ( With +50% Drop Costume, +25% Stockpile, and a Extra Drop Medal ), and I got 1 drop. So, without all this stuff, I would have gotten 0 drops, which I find rather lame. No boss should have 0% Chance to drop anything.

If they removed the 0 drops from bosses then it didn't work.  Every boss we have fought in the last 6 months has at one point dropped nothing at all.  And if in extra drop suits or using medals a number of times we have gotten one drop.

Even regular mobs is still a bit off.

 

I was farming with my bourg today I have a full Magician set that is 20%drop chance I have Stockpiling max 25% drop chance and using that Mech wing which has 4%drop chance, on top of all that a medal of fortune from the Item market. 

 

Still there are a few instances where a kill only drops one item and in some cases no drops.

With how drops are divided in to categories (currently) and those categories are given a flat rate of drop chance, there are sometimes small fractions left out and not filled in. It is something to perfect, however a better drop system is currently under design that would not only eliminate this, but give us more finite control over how drops yield from all monsters, than the current system. The current system simply does not work for us and our community's expectations. We have tried, several times, to come up with a way to help facilitate a better system that could cater to our design and desires as well as our community needs and expectations.
 

For now, I'm going to leave the drop rates alone, as we do wish for the items to remain a valuable and hunted commodity.

 

As for the "no drop" issue, it was minimized as much as possible, much better than before, where there could be up to 20% no drop chance for some monsters. So, it is an improvement.

​Yea, there is something really wonky about it, and I can't wait till you guys get a chance to actually revise it into something more pliable, and persistent.

 

For now, I'm going to leave the drop rates alone, as we do wish for the items to remain a valuable and hunted commodity.

 

As it stands now, me and a friend have been farming 2 bosses in the temple for, going on, 10 days now at 8-10 hours +, and we've only gotten 2 of the "rare" items. By rare items, I mean the actual jewelry pieces that drop from the bosses, not the random other items in the "rare" section of the drop table.  I think at this point, you can call rare... too rare, especially for the level range of these bosses.

Like I was saying in my previous post, these items shouldn't be in the rare section of the bosses drop table, they are more Common / Uncommon:

  • Aurum Drill
  • Lisent U
  • Hermes

If these 3 item hadn't been in the rare section of these bosses, than I would have had at least 2 sets by now.

 

But this is all due to the fact that the system isn't working the way you want it to, and it can't really be changed easily, without messing up a lot of things i'm assuming,

 

Again, I'm interested in how the new revised drop system will work, once you guys get around to it.

One of the advantages that I wish to see with an updated drop system is multiple tier of drops to be allowed and have it consider things like, party size and level, when yielding drops. Give another reason to level your party up. :)

 

So, short list of goals with the new drop system design are:

  1. multiple tiers dropping at once, instead of one drop per kill (without extra drop chance as a stat)
  2. Party size and party level an influential factor to drop yields
  3. Better control over quantity of certain drops
    • With this, also a 'redesigned' stockpile that will work with higher stacks of items on drop yield.
  4. Finally do away with the slightest chance of a 'no drop' drop, once and for all, unless we intend it that way.

Leonis, I have been farmin the moon sister and brother in luna for like three days now, I spent at least 8 hours today trying t get a beautiful item to drop, three hours another day and four on the first and it has not dropped. its crazy rediculous and right now ther are so many people trying to get it that half the time I am getting KS'd (the item doesnt drop any way so w/e .. today I was even wearing the full drak rose set and. not. one. piece. dropped.

This tier system seems a bit more interesting than the current system. Because right now you can farm for weeks and have absolutely NOTHING to show for it. Only these worthless piece of poop blue gears that most don't even bother picking up. If you're unlucky boss hunting will just end up being a colossal waste of time. Like farming non-boss monsters for 10min can be more rewarding than boss hunting, just pick up a few Dirty Heart Stones and done.

Now that I've thought about it I really don't like this party size and party level role in determining the drop. Yes, boss hunting is supposed to be a party activity, but it sort of seems like you'd be punishing us for the small community. I get it that some places have a lot of hunters like Orlo, Ruins and now that Luna temple, where partying up would make sense, but a lot of places are pretty much empty all the time. So the loners who are interested in farming monsters that aren't that popular have to just accept that they won't have such a good chance of getting better drops as the mainstream farmers? Also, what would people who use retrieval medals do with party level? Do they have to go to Orlo to level their party in one of the few spots they actually still can or beg level 50 parties from lower levels?

 

This idea really doesn't sit well with me. But at the same time I can't think of something else either that would make boss hunting more diverse.
