well i have a lvl 44 soldier but it feels like i need more def and Attack power. seems like the buffs are useless

Make the soldier a 2h weapon soldier ( champion later ) best ap+def combo class. Otherwise make a bourg/dealer or scout, killing from a distance

well someone told me to be a spear soldier! now im lvl  60 and it's a big difference in a good way! and how's bourg/dealer?

Bourgs have an easy time killing most monsters from a distance, at least I havent had any problems since the update on the lower levels. Remember that leveling isnt always about killing the monsters with the highest exp, if you can massacre a ton of green named monsters in a short amount of time the exp might well be better. With bourgs this is easy as you do not have to move very far, as a bourg you have multiple aoes to assist you as well to target group, gunbourgs can go for aspd and just play the ranged katar hithithithithit dead. I would ask ingame about scouts, I dont have alot of experience with those.

I'd have to say War Clerics. INT does a lot for them now. With their tankiness, fast aspd, MP shield, and self heals, they're the most OP class in the game right now.
