Uhm, SinX isn't in this game.

Higher damange? Well, its PvE after all, Rogue excels on that, but... how much higher really? Was he doubling your Threat? If not then I don't see the problem...

Besides «Mark of Death» also boosts your damange so I doubt that would be the source...

And whats so wrong about having higher Threat than you? Doesn't that mean that there is a higher chance the boss will go for him than you? Isn't it better to keep it low? Threat metter is not a good way to measure the damange dealt...

Starting any battle with «Dark Illusion» and «Dagger Throw» together generates a very high starting Threat, and no Assassin does that usually, so the Rogue tends to have a higher Threat at the beggining (and more if they refuse to use «Smoke Bomb» to reset it).

Rogues are usually low on the threat meter because they use SB with MD. And 30% more damage every 20seconds is like an extra Double Attack (+- 5% can be debated in the chance of triggering buffs and raising combo points from not using MD), there isn't a significant increase in DPS.

Also, if you followed the calculation of casting time we made in this forum back when MoD was only 10% ore attack on Rogue, you will find lots of information. For example, that MoD decreased DPS because the additional 10% couldn't really get you back the damage you missed when casting MoD (instead of spending the time on 1-2 DAs). The key information here: The casting Rogue doesn't really get a higher damage bonus than anyone else. the additional 10% are merely compensating the casting time of MoD.

You're probably using a subpar skill build or a poor damage rotation. I often wonder what the people around me are doing wrong. I once outdamaged a sin with their colo weapon when I was still using my RHD claw. Still don't know how it happened but it did.

I'm not sure how other people do the damage they do but my results seem simple enough to me. Keep your buffs on. Use grimtooth when you can get multiple combo points from it. use DA the rest of the time unless you need three extra points from Shadow Strike to use Shadow Explosion as soon as it comes off CD. Use Shadow Armor to tank little damage and avoid backing off. If you still have to back off then use grimtooth and dagger throw as you go. I'd expect poisoning weapon to be more important but if the colo weapon sin I outdamaged should have overwritten my poison with their own. Maybe they only had level 1 and I actually had stronger poison? That would explain a lot. Also using lower level Shadow Strike would be a fast way to gimp damage compared to someone who's leveled it.

Not sure if it was that build difference or what. Seems pretty obvious to me how this works so I just do my thing and wonder why other people aren't doing it too.
