Going to collect September's notes in this thread. 

 

We have already begun the groundwork of our next project for Classic: a renovation project to improve the training grounds and make starting out in Pre-Renewal a more enjoyable experience with more explanation for the in-game systems than we currently have. 

 

We've been talking with Mike and Tony for the perspective of someone starting fresh on Classic and have a number of suggestions from them that we are working on. 

 

September 24

-1.5x exp event for one week due to the weekend disconnects

-Activating the following headgear quests

• -Bride's Corolla - Orc Lady at Orc Village
• -Cute Ribbon Dyeing -Trainee at Northeast Morocc
• -Catfoot Hairpin Quest - Myu at Geffen Field 5

HE Bubble Gum and Battle manual x 10 boxes 500pts

PVP room NPC has been added to Prontera 114, 63 was not added properly

 

The skill scrolls being put in: 

 

Greed box 50 pts

Other boxes are 100 kp each

Siege teleport scrolls are coming in

 

Duration of HE Gum and Battle Manuals increased to 30 minutes for one week.

September 18th

-OCA Update. Monsters that drop OCAs will no drop Ancient Card Albums, which contain miniboss cards. 

There is a NPC in southern Prontera that will exchange old OCAs for ACAs 

 

 

The following monsters have had their OCA drops changed to ACA.

Event: Card rates doubled temporarily as we evaluate drop rates for important items.

September 11th maintenance: 

-We are having another early morning extended maintenance, to perform software upgrades on the hardware that was set up the last time. The games down and Warpportal/forums connectivity may lose connection during the Midnight-6am PDT (GMT -7) hours on Wednesday. 

-Small update to Classic training grounds introducing beginner monster kill quests for novices. Please note that this is just a quick addition and not our planned overhaul.

-New OCAs will be available from monster and treasure drops, replacing the old ones. These will include the previously missing "mini-boss" cards. Pushed to next week so we can get proper testing in. 

-Working on a NPC to trade in old OCAs for the new ones at a set ratio. 

-New Groove Pack: 

When opened the opener always receives 1 HE Bubble Gum and one Gary's September Random Pack which contains one of the following:

Mega Resist Potion x 30

Fencer Scroll 10 x 10

Party Increase Agi 10 Scroll x 30

Party Blessing 10 Scroll x 30

-Working to get USRC prizes distributed this week.

Nice do you have a time line yet for satan morroc and ash vacuum?

In the Classic storyline, it's likely that Satan Morroc will be defeated before Morroc is destroyed. With high end content updated to Veins/Nameless, we are focusing on the early-mid game for improvements.

Does it mean the classic server won't get anything after veins nameless? In term of content for veteran player that said.

We're still experimenting with being able to add in new maps, Moscovia is still on the table but there will be more high end content on Classic.

Yeah I was going to make a thread in the foundry to track the rest of the "real" content we still had yet to see. Stuff like New World, Moscovia, Sealed Shrine and the Morroc stuff. Just so it all wasnt getting forgotten about.

 

I'd really like to see Moscovia go in, now that you're doing a better job of banning all the bots bomb supplies are becoming scarcer and it'd be cool to have people hunt them for themselves for a change.

 

Really excited for this week though, OCAs are going to be interesting. Is the exchange rate going to be 3:2 like Campitor posted in the foundry thread?

Oda this lucky box this month is just a fail I looked at it and just didn't bother wasting my money on it .But thank you for dealing with the bots I don't see them .Also is the turn in for ocas 3:2?And will it be added in the tomorrow?

For those who are curious they've changed the OCA exchange rate to 3:1.

 

This seems a bit harsh, especially after for the last two months or so we've been under the impression that we were getting 3:2 as was in Campitors thread from the foundry.

 

Also the introduction of area spawns to Bio3 isnt really worth mentioning if you've not got any of them instant spawning, when people talk about area spawns in Bio they assume they're going to be respawning.

When is stat reset? When can we change the useless castle loot to supply material? When will we have lucky boxes with OP gear instead of the absolute crap that we got the past 2? Some of us have too much money and want to give it to y ou.

I guess I don't quite understand.  It was already agreed after lengthy discussion that the ratio would be 3:2.  Is there a reason that it's being changed now?

The ratio discussed in the thread was a preliminary one that was not based on the finalized Ancient Card Album, or on the multiple VIP boosts, double drops and other events we have had since we started talking about being able to do a trade in. 

 

The finalized ratio is 3 Old Card Albums for 1 Ancient Card Album.
