The text in the Hats us the correct? both have similar effects

 

Increase Physical and Magic Damage to Demihuman 2% per refine over +5

 

But I´ve been testing my CEB +12 with my Sorcerer and no increase the magic damage.

 

Then i ask someone know the correct text for both items?

I just checked the description on my CEB and can confirm that it has the same description you mentioned.  However, I was under the impression that CEB increased physical damage and RPB increased magical damage.  Can someone confirm this?

 

EDIT: Just checked the iRO Wiki database and this is the description they have:

 

 

If upgraded to +5 or higher, increases Physical damage to and reduces Physical damage from [Demi-Human] monsters by 2% per refine level.

Uh im pretty sure CEB only increases physical damage to demi-humans and RPB increases magical. They both reduce physical and magical damage though. There used to be a description error saying CEB only reduces phys damage taken and RPB for magical damage taken only. Lol @ Gravity if it's another description error about the damage dealt this time

they both work for phys and mag on both effects

RPB is better because it gives like 5 MDef whereas CEB doesnt give any

...since when? o.o there'd be no point in using CEB then other than for overrated cat ears. I also still have yet to see a GX, ranger and ALMOST all suras wear CEBs.

Description is wrong because Campitor messed up trying to add my correction onto the in game messed up description.

It was wrong before, now it's even more wrong and confusing.

Flat as in it doesnt stack with other demihuman reducts? So it's a seperate variable in the calculation?

Flat is in the same type as cranial/combat knife/etc so it stacks the better way.(additively.)

After the patch this morning, I retested and confirmed that both still work the same way they always did, and Viri's earlier post was correct.

 

When it comes to reduction, each act like roughly half a cranial shield at +12 (16% demihuman reduction). The only difference between the two is the type of wearer's damage they boost against other demihumans.

 

 

Just to once again clarify and dispell any bull-_- false rumors (since some people need it spelled out for them), wearing a CEB will NOT boost your magic damage, but it will boost your physical. And vice verse on the RPB.
