So in a nutshell, I have a question for veteran mvp hunters out there about Memory of Thanatos. I killed him a few times already but it took me 4-5 times to come back because of his skill Exile which is a pain in the ass and teleports my tank and he kills my genetic fast.. Everything seems fine since i got an alt that can cast magnetic earth. My Genetic is using HF atm, I'd like to ask tips, techniques in fighting memory of thanatos  and how to counter his exile skill or a trick to killing him easily. 

 

My second questions is that, if I kill him ni thanatos tower, do we have to climb back up if we die? I only killed him through BB runs. sooo yeah please provide as much advice as you can. Thanks in advance

Only way i know of is safety wall tanking.

yea hes a pain in the ass. not even worth hunting imo. that tank teleporting is obnoxious, especially as the tank ><

oh man tell me about it... I just want to know to kill it w/o dying  or blowing some tokens if possible... I really hate when we  pop all those foods, HE gums, buff and setup the magnetic earth, he then teleports my tank and then slaughters my party..

Just have 2 tanks =/ that's the easiest way. Honestly though if you have a stringer setup and mental str tank him he should die before he can exile. CC till he's bombable/changes to holy.

You better be hustling back he doesn't spam it. Thanatos does not have that much hp he should die in under 1 minute.

Thanatos doesn't hurt that much honestly. My sura can tank him without using mental strength (and no MVP cards and god items), and in a way, it's handy that MS isn't needed because when I do get sent elsewhere by him, or he teleports, I can tele or snap right back to him and get him back on me. Even pull him to the killers if needed.

 

Not using MS does suck up pots quickly, but if your killers are fast, it's not a problem. If available, gentle touch revitalize helps. Pain killer helps. Not a necessity at all though. I think it's solo-able on a variety of classes, like GX, Gen, RK, etc.

 

 

You don't need excessive gears to tank it, but what helps is unfrozen wind armor, +9 or better immune Nid garb, variant shoes, couple of glorious rings or kafra blossom accessories, and throw on witch pumpkin hat+alarm mask if you want to be cheap and use pumpkins part of the time. Bring a few Ygg seeds and/or berries for those just in case dire moments/lag spikes. I forgot to mention, an Alice-carded shield of course, but hopefully that was obvious and went without saying.

lol its all luck of the draw. ive had him exile me 2 seconds into engaging him multiple times. its seriously annoying that mvps can even use that spell. im all for a challenge, but thats just plain annoying

Slims and seeds. Thats how my gen lives. I recomend a shield and mace combo or something otherwise itd be kinda difficult to tank him.
