I am a 96 bard and did grandpa quests there on timer now. what else can i do to get good xp? i wanna hit 99 today if possible

this right here is why i have a problem with TIs.... people have no clue about the outside world... id suggest heading to the veins area and maybe try your hand at magmarings...

Second floor of Eden, there's a billboard called 91-99.  Go do those.

When I was making my Bard/Maestro I was grinding in Stings! It's beautiful down there in the abyss of Glast Heim It's quiet, hardly anyone appears around there, Even bots don't venture there! You have the entire map to yourself and as much delicious EXP as you'd like! now, since you are level 96 and Stings are 104 they will be great!
