What's with these garbage projects do you guys have one of David copperfields old magic hat and just pull out random stuff from it to give us. What's next cool Pokemon type mounts this is just as bad as Heims hot plate of creation post leave thors ALONE!!!!!! Wanna work on something a stat reset would work and putting in like moscovia soon

The thors change is just dumb. Let it be as it was intended and instead of ruining current content further try to implement up to 13.2 and try for what was promised at the beginning of this server "adding new content that diverges from the upgrade path gravity took us to in renewal"

Or you know if you want people to get to Knockers faster, just move the magma npc outside of thors?! A secret entrance if you will? that way people can get there faster? "You could go through that portal but wait, it's very dangerous! I secretly found a backway into the volcano! Here let me show you!". But no please do go continuing on ruining your own server over drunken ideas which has no substance on a dwindling community that serves no purpose other than you know, poisoning the servers morale on a constant basis right before the Steam Release.

^ Like you did with Payon Field warp by moving it closer to Payon.  You can add direct access to Thors 2 if you want to skip adding the quest in, but keep direct access to thors 1 available.

About the change to the way the thors volcano maps connection. 
 
As part of our initiative to make Classic more balanced/enjoyable we have been watching the way players level their characters, and what we found is that at high levels Thors by far the quickest for characters to be leveled. Due to this we started to investigate the behavior that enabled this quick leveling curb and what we found would be quite disturbing if it was occurring in real life. There seemed to be this machine of death where a TKM would go in with a character to be leeched, fight until they die. Respawn, get buffed and repeat. They were constantly warpping in via warpportals on the field map outside. The total amount of deaths that occurred from this process was quite staggering, while the EXP gain from this outclasses everything else in the game with very little risk versus reward. 
 
When a character died they did not have to travel more than 30 seconds to get back into the action and no support was required besides a warpportal and maybe some buffs. This of course was giving massive reward for poor game play strategies, RO has always been about giving large rewards for those who have VERY clever game play strategies. Since we identified the issue with the dungeon we wanted to figure out a way to fix this issue. Now we had several options open to us.
 
1. Warp Portal in strips all buffs from the characters.
2. Reduce the EXP reward of the thors 1 monsters to bring it in line with monsters on the same risk versus reward tier.
3. Increase the difficulty of the dungeon level via ai/spawn changes so that full parties would be required.
4. Change the connections within the dungeon so that a character death was more meaningful and desired to be avoided by the players.
 
It was decided to go with option 4. We did not want to destroy any value the dungeon had, and wanted to encourage continued clever game play, while still providing a speed bump in the treadmill of death that was the TKM warp in and die spawn.

This is exactly what you're accomplishing with this change. You're not only nullifying any value this dungeon offers players, but also nullifying the population of this server which is already in dire straits.

 

Please. Please don't do this.

May as well just set the rates to 100x and call it a day. People prefer to cheese level, no one likes pvming anyway.

How? The monsters are still there, the exp is still waiting, you will be able to go there with your parties and obtain the exact same exp rates that you previously did. The only change there is that the treadmill of death is stopped.

Everyone complains there's nothing to do, then freaks out when they won't be able to solo for easy endless exp on a mindless map that a blind monkey could level on effectively. It's funny.

Just in case if you put Thor 2 accesible by warp a lot of bot gonna hunt it probably.

 

This server is a sick server, GM said "Yeah we understand what the community want" but they just do the opposite. 

 

Make useless change like this is not called iRO classic is called dumbpservcustomRO. This server look like only one guy have the power and do what he want, where is the rest of GM?

Are you serious? Do you think you can attract more players with that update? Come on, everyone say no.. move on and think of a different way to make classic worth playing.. We really don't like PVM that much, focus on making PVP active or put a PK map where we can get more action and fun.

Thors was implemented because of the steep exp curve in the game. Prior to thors only bios offered great exp. the entire setup for thors moves fast when you have all the gear and pieces. It also isn't cheap depending on the gear you have. Just keep it the way it was intended.

If not rework the character exp table to make other places that are easier to access more attractive.

As a Lord Knight that has been leveling in thors lately, I can say that the main reason people leave and come back to thors dungeon is not because they die, but because they need to rebuff. Rebuff mainly applies to assumptio, which only lasts 100 seconds and going to thors without assumptio would make it incredibly difficult. Naturally the 20ish seconds spent moving from Thor 2 to Thor 1 would greatly lower the amount of exp/per hour. Bringing a high priest along would increase the difficulty of the dungeon to near unfair levels unless you have an Alice card (350m~) due to the fact that there are some incredibly strong monsters that simply cannot be killed by certain characters (think of the MVP in high orcs). I implore that you reconsider your decision, TKMs aren't the only ones in thors.

If ur gonna mess with leveling maps why don't y'all redo the woe1.0 guild dungeons buff exp or change monsters to. Make them more attractive heck I haven't been in one leveling since pre trans days

We are looking at the guild dungeons as well. That will appear in the foundry.

Or you can make a fire dungeon like in pokemon Thor 2 => Magma 1 => Magma 2 => Thor 1 => Thor 3
