What browser are you using? Are you using NoScript, Ghostery, BetterPrivacy, AdBlocker and/or other similar add-ons?

That's odd, Google Chrome works just fine for me. Check your list of extensions by opening up the chrome menu > Tools > Extensions just to make sure.

You could try checking your account details using Internet Explorer to see whether it suffers from the same issue.

No. Confusingly, JavaScript and Java have nothing in common other than the word "Java" in their names.

When you navigate to the WarpPortal web site in Chrome, are there any icons on the toolbar (situated at the top of the window) that indicate that something is being blocked?

Oh, I didn't realize this was interfering with normal logins, didn't read the last line of OP (I've given up on trying to figure out issues with the official download. The client download has been a perennial problem - I don't know why gravity seems to have such a hard time with this, but they always have.)

I don't understand why the problem would be happening - maybe your adblock extension is more aggressive than the one I use?

I use Chrome with AdBlock (2.6.10), and plugins disabled until I click them, and I can sign into WP account without issues.
