ive encountered 4 champions today myself... Fabre and bigfoot were both larger and had a soul link type colo effect going on and they had a mob of 2 regular monsters with them and Geographer and Banaspaty which were larger and had a green aura they did not have any mobs... so it seems there are at least 2 different types of Champions... both types gave a decent chunk of job exp vs regular exp....

I guess some people on regular maps is better than none.

I'm wondering, is there only one type of champion mob alive on the map? I'm in Nyd dungeon, first map. In the past two hours I only encountered Solid Dracos. No champion Aqua Elementals or Dark Pingus. Wonder if it depends on the number of mobs on the map since there's 2 times more Dracos than Aquas and 4 times more Dracos than Pingus (according to the db at least).
Oh yeah, assist monsters (Dracos at least) won't attack you when you whack on the champion version. And the job xp is very very nice.

Yeah, I poked around Chiv 1/2 with some auto-cast gear for fun/testing and I ran into 3 Champion Raydrics total over an hour. I was recording so I'll check later but I think each one had a different name and only one had green aura. But no Khaliz, Abysmal Knight, etc. Raydric is majority spawn for both so :>

Does this increase its drop rate?

Do the "names" of the champion monsters have anything to do with their boosted stats? Like a "solid" lunatic has higher def, and an "elusive" rocker has more flee.
I have mostly seen "Solid" monsters, so I was surprised to see an Elusive Rocker.

This is what I was going to ask as well hehe.
I do believe they have increased drops, but not 100% sure.
Would love to know for certain. Thanks!

Yes, the prefixes on the champion tells you which of the monster's stat is boosted, exactly the same as D3. Go check irowiki (kRO maint section) for more info.

Ringleaders seem to have mobs with them, not sure of their buffed specs. Solid seems to have a great deal more HP (more than the other buffed ones) Elusive seems to have more flee.

The Elusive have more Hp as well not just flee, so im thinking its a Full Buff they got, with some pre-suffixes so that they can be recognized.
All of them has a mob correct?

All have buffed HP, just saying Solid seems to have the most (could be mistaking this with Def, just knew they took longer to kill, didn't check damage). As much as I've seen only Ring Leader tags have mobs with them

Are these champion monsters in the dead branch list?
It would be hilarious breaking a db and suddenly having a champion bio monster pop out.

i don't think so if they have different monster IDs. would bring DBing to a whole new level

Anyone noticed the drop rates of these strange OP creatures?

I encontered Elusive Antler Horn Scaraba.
I encontered them more than once, so I think they respawn instantly. I took a screenshot of the exp. Please not that I am using a BMx3, so divide the number by 3.
Finally, also got Scaraba Card on the same run. Now for sale (!!!).

For all those wondering about the drop rates, this was taken from the RO site, the one that if you click the "Chronicle of the Creepy" thing on the patcher sends you to(bolded and increased size of relevant part):
This week we are introducing some real "mini-boss" monsters. Over 300 of these tougher versions of existing monsters will be introduced to the world of Rune Midgards, and will appear in the fields and dungeons where normal monsters are found. These monsters will spawn in limited numbers, and an be easily noticed by their larger size and effects. Though they are tougher to defeat, they also significantly higher drop rates.

It's apparently her official name on kRO.

We just localized it to Cecil in iRO.
So her actual name is Cil. she is Cil =_=
