Angeltje will be representing the land of...Kenji Beach
I woke up to the sound of the sirens blaring through the city. “Wake up commander, time to get ready for war.” “Do we really have to go, the grass is so comfortable..” I moaned loudly. “If you don’t, you’ll be a deserter to the Righteous Crusaders! Even if you’re a commander, we can’t take that lightly!” The captain furiously walked away. “Sigh, it’s that time of day again, why do they have to be so uptight about these things? Oh well, might as well get up and get ready, I do need some workout.” I thought to myself. After clumsily lifting myself up in my heavy armor, I walked through Junon to get to the Righteous Crusaders HQ. The streets were filled with people running around, as the sirens were still making everyone’s ears bleed.
“Oh wait, I ran out of arrows, better go to storage first.” As I turned around, some of my fellow soldiers yelled to me: “Oh commander, that’s the wrong way! You skipping up on the war again?” I didn’t answer, and continued to prepare my supplies. “I’ll show them why I’m the commander and they’re just lowly soldiers....” I muttered to myself. Arriving at the storage, the master of the Ferrel guild looked at me strangely. “Shouldn’t you be signing up for the war, commander? This is the Ferrel Guild HQ, you don’t belong here.” All these people, why does it all even matter so much? “Ugh sir, I’m just here to access the storage, I need to prepare some things.” He got nervous. “I’m sorry commander, I’ve gotten a bit irritated with all these failures in the past days. Here’s the key your storage account.” Can’t blame him, the times have been tough lately.
After getting myself restocked on supplies, I picked up my shield and crossbow, time to head to the signing post. Although the sirens were still going, the streets were a lot emptier than they were some time ago. “Guess most of them are at the assembly already. It’ll probably be really rowdy there, I don’t want to go...” As I was walking towards the signpost, I stumbled upon some Arumics. Ugh, those damn magic users, I’m not fond of them. “Why good day commander, are you coming to lose the war today again?” They giggled loudly, as if they didn’t care that I’m still right next to them. “We’ll see about that, perhaps it’ll be your faces that hit the grass of the Akram arena.” They quieted down, unsurprisingly. Even though the past few wars all resulted in loss, there is no one in this city who doesn’t know of my prowess when it comes to fighting. It’s the sole reason I’m a commander, and I’m also the sole commander who achieved the title through pure skill. Most of these titles can be bought with money nowadays. I walked past the group of Arumics, as I heard one of them say: “Watch out, your blessings may become your greatest weakness!”, followed by maniacal laughter.
I didn’t like that last sentence. Somehow it feels like they’re up to something again, and it’s ominous. I should be careful during the fight. “Hey commander, where have you been! If you come late again and again, you’ll be demoted!” The HQ admiral seemed pretty pissed. It was hard to refrain myself from saying: “At least I still participate in the war, unlike some people here”, but I still want to keep my head. Even though I’ll respawn anyway, dying really hurts. “I’m sorry sir, I was busy preparing some stuff for the war. Going in like a headless chicken would hurt my pride. Also, I don’t need a title for people to know my combat prowess and tactical ability. Demote me if you think that’s the correct thing to do.” He grumbled, but he was satisfied I think. “You have some balls commander, not a lot of people dare to speak up to their superiors. I’ll let you off the hook this time. But don’t forget I’m the one in charge here! Now get your ass moving to the assembly, you have tactics to discuss with your fellow soldiers!” “Yes sir, sorry sir!”
As I thought, the assembly was rowdy. People yelling at each other, the sound of weapons clattering. If I didn’t know it was illegal to start a fight here, I’d have thought the war had already started. “Commander, you’re late!” God, do these people need to keep saying that. “I had some things to take care of, at least I prepare myself before the start of the battle!” The soldiers went quiet, they knew that I’m more capable than anyone else. “So what’s the plan commander?” one of the captains uttered. “Gather around kids, storytelling time.” “Enough with the jokes commander!” Heh, most of the higher-ups didn’t like that one. At least it looks like the soldiers aren’t so nervous anymore.
“Alright alright, just gather around, we don’t want anyone listening in on our strategy do we? So here’s the plan: We’re going to split up in three groups for a quick assault. I’ll need one group of three champions, a raider, and two clerics to rush towards the crystal on the left side of the arena. Only those who are capable of moving fast, else there is no use. Although we can’t take light of their power, those preachers and researchers are bad at communication and preparation work. It’ll take a significant time before they have their army move out, so we’ll have to strike fast and destroy the first crystal quickly.” “But sir, some of them are quite fa..” “I’m still explaining the plan, shut up will you. Ok thanks. So that’s what the first group has to do. Meanwhile, I’ll be the leader of the second group. For this one, aside from myself, I’ll need four ranged attackers, and one cleric to support us. We will head towards their spawn and attack the ones that are too eager and go off on their own. After that we’ll meet up with the first group and support them as they destroy the crystal. I’ll need some capable runners for this team as well.” “Sir, what about the ones who aren’t fast runners?” “I haven’t gotten to the third group yet have I? The third group consists of all those I haven’t mentioned yet. Your job is to assemble at the Dusk crystal, and guard it while we destroy the Sunrise one. The crystal is NOT allowed to fall until we have destroyed it. If they manage to assemble their entire army, we’ll be outnumbered and this battle will surely be a loss. Now that that’s dealt with, begin individual preparations!”
I gathered my group together. Two scouts, a bourgeois, an artisan and me as the crossbow knight. Also one cleric, which is the standard situation. A group without heals doesn’t function very well. Preparation in our group went quite smoothly, I handpicked some of the best fighters for this job after all. “Psst, commander,” someone whispered to my ears. It was one of our spies from the intelligence team. “Watch out, your blessings may become your greatest weakness!” That ominous mood I felt came back. The spies wouldn’t contact the commander if not for urgent matters. “What is it, we don’t have a lot of time left. Speak up.” “Well sir, I have checked up on our opponents army, but it appears to be way smaller than we had expected. Also, there is no sign of the Arumics.” Somehow that’s a very bad thing. It’s most likely a trap, and it won’t do us well if we get caught up in that. “Alright, thanks for your efforts, get some well-deserved rest. I’ll relay this to the soldiers.” But why would they not be here? Is there some kind of secret weapon they don’t want to show? Now it’s getting on my nerves, better warn the rest.
“Guys, gather up for a second. I’ve just received a report from one of our spies. The Arumics are up to something, they’re not gathered here at the moment. This means we’ll have to be extra fast to take down the crystal, especially since our enemies will be solely the Junon Order, but after that fall back to the dusk crystal and regroup. It’s most likely a trap, so be cautious at all times.”
The sirens blared even harder than ever before. “The portal is opening, all factions get ready for combat!” I rushed towards the portal, ready to get warped in. “Ugh, this warp feels nasty as always, I hope none of us get nausea.” After tumbling around for a few seconds, I could feel balance returning to me as one of my feet touched the floor. “Let’s go guys, we don’t have all day!” I led my squad throughout the vast open area, and we arrived at the spawn. “It’s awfully quiet here, don’t let your guard down.” I sensed the presence of two.., three.., four enemies. “Time to roll guys, it seems some bratty soldiers have come out to play!” They headed straight at us, what an unusual confidence. The enemies were four champions, none of them with a name that really stood out. “Hah, do they seriously think they can win this fight? Let’s show these guys that champions aren’t as powerful as people believe!”
One of the champions came rushing right at me, he seemed to be unaware of things around here. “Hah, what can a mere knight do!”. New guy in town I suppose. He flung his sword right at me with quite some speed, which surprised me, but it didn’t pack a lot of power. I bashed the sword away with my shield, and loaded a heavy bolt in my crossbow, infused with power. The bolt hit him in the chest and shot him through the air, shooting him against the wall. “That’s what I can do.” The second champion came at me, thinking I left an opening as I relinquished my stance to kill the first. This time a spear champion. “That spear has some reach, but it’s a mere dagger compared to how far a crossbow bolt can go!” A heavy bolt landed in his stomach, blowing him back a few meters. I ran up to him, deflected his spear with my crossbow and bashed him in the face with my shield. After coughing up some blood and freezing up, the lifeless body tumbled towards the ground.
The other two champions, no longer having any confidence, decided to run off. “Hey, hey, where are you going? Come on guys, join in on the fun and round up some fleeing cowards!” One of the two guys was pretty slow, so I left him alone for my squad to prey upon. Meanwhile I proceeded to chase the other one, who was considerably fast. “If running is all you can do, you’ll never make it to the commander rank!” I rushed towards him, and sped up to aim for a leaping attack. The guy looked backwards, saw me running and his face turned pale. “Ah, I love that face of despair when they face a power mightier than themselves.” Hearing that, his face turned completely white and he sped up even more. “Too late!” I laughed. I leapt through the sky, making a graceful frontflip to attract the attention of the Junon army still gathering above, to then smash my shield into his back. A loud crack as his back snapped and his face met the floor. “That guy is sick and dangerous man,” the bourgeois in our team said. “Some people may not like him, but that guy is the most worthy commander this world has to offer. “ The team nodded in agreement.
Quite satisfied with how things progressed so smoothly, this satisfaction wouldn’t stay long. “Where’s our crystal destruction team?” I looked around, but no one was even close to the crystal, even though a minute had passed. “We’ll destroy this quickly and retreat to the dusk crystal, we’ll ask what happened later.” “Watch out, your blessings may become your greatest weakness!” I recalled the words that the group of Arumics had said to me, and I started to feel very uneasy. “Something’s not right, and I’ll figure out what it is.” Aside from the occasional soldier trying to keep us from destroying the crystal, no one came. “This doesn’t add up, they wouldn’t just give up the first crystal like that. Do they pity us and want to give us a chance? I doubt it, perhaps they’re so confident that they’ll be able to defend their Sunset.”
“THE SUNRISE CRYSTAL HAS BEEN DESTROYED.”
Running back to the Dusk area, we encountered no one again. “This eerie silence scares me, there’s something strange about this plan of theirs.” Arriving at the meeting area, I was flabbergasted. It was empty. Not a single soul was there. The six of us had no idea what’s going on, so we just stood there in awe, wondering what the hell happened. “HEY, THE HELL ARE YOU GUYS DOING?! I KNOW YOU’RE UP THERE, DON’T TRY TO HIDE YOURSELVES!” Several soldiers stumbled towards the ledge. They seemed just as confused as we are, save that their faces showed unimaginable amounts of anguish. “We don’t know what’s going on sir, but there’s nobody here!” I should have known better, it happens all the damn time. “We’ve been had, they all crossed over to the other side! Those money and fame hungry bastards, all they care about is the money that fills their pockets. One day I’ll show them all..” That explained why the area was so quiet, but there’s still something off. Where did those sneaky Arumics run off to? And why were the soldiers so scared?
“Well, we’re in a bind now. We can’t get up this ledge, so our only choice is to fight. Are you guys up there with us!” “No, please, not again!” Something happened. I have no idea what, but these guys have lived through something hellish. “Well, we’re the only ones left then, so we need to change our strategy a bit. We’ll use guerilla tactics to lure the enemy out, and kill them when they’re separated. If we proceed to engage head on, we will surely face defeat, as they are with way too much. Alright, time to show these people that we won’t give up without a fight!” Perhaps I should have done so, if I now look back to what happened.
We ran for not even five seconds when we realized what had happened to the soldiers above. A group of ten people in size was standing in front of us. Although 6v10 is still a manageable fight depending on the circumstances, I noticed that these people had no intention to fight a normal fight. All clad in the white robes of the Orlean mage order, imbued with the power of the Ferrel guild to increase their running speed. If it was that alone, I wouldn’t have come to this assumption, people use speed increasing gear all the time to maneuver easier across this big map. Their rings, earrings and necklaces were all typhoon imbued, the power of wind increasing the movement speed. Large staves, imbued by the Ferrel guild, and to top it all off, five stones of the Sagittarius, to be swift like an arrow. Top class movement speed, used only by the ultimate trolls. But what made me realize the trouble faster than anything were all the smug smirks on their faces, as they were casting an all too familiar incantation. “DISPELLERS!!!”
But I was too late. Aside from me, who miraculously got hit by a spell that failed to go off, the entire team stood there powerless, as their buffs were stripped from them and they felt weakened. “Watch out, your blessings may become your greatest weakness!” I was too busy to notice it at that time, but I should’ve known better. “Save yourself commander, we’re done for!” I ran. I ran as fast as I could, down to the sewers where it would be harder to follow me around. Behind me I could still hear the screams of my team as they ruthlessly fell prey to the horde of champions and raiders that now appeared out of the shadows, going in for the kills to raise their fame. I shivered, and didn’t look back as to not look to the cruelties that were carried out right there. I didn’t have time to either, as a bourgeois was in the sewage drain, awaiting me. Probably contingency, in case not everyone got dispelled. I ran up to the bourgeois and threw an arrow at his eye, making his aim unsteady, and then slid under him through the water and shot a bolt at him. “That’ll do it.” God knows what pain he must’ve felt.
Running through the sewers, several more people blocked my path. As I didn’t have the time or luxury to fight them all, I used my shield to knock them unconscious and dashed my way through. One of them started coughing up blood and dropped. “Looks like I hit a vital there, see ya mates.” Apparently they didn’t like that, since the horde of people glued to my back kept increasing as I flew through the arena at full speed, knocking people over and deflecting attacks. A barrage of arrows followed my footsteps, some of which hit me, but none of the wounds were fatal. The mages were nowhere in sight as of yet, but I figured I wouldn’t have much time left running around before I’m caught in a position where I too will drop to the floor.
And that time came rather quickly. As I tried to escape a large group of people in front of me, by running into the sewers, there they were again. The ten staves of the trolls, dispelling squad, the ‘I don’t know how to play decently’ mages, you name it. The smug looks on their faces alone made me berserk, which I shouldn’t even be able to do. “Time’s up commander, you won’t bring us anymore shame than you already have.” A final leap before I had to embrace my end, I jumped at the mage in the middle who said that and wiped the smug look off of his face with my shield, gaining one last kill before the anti-magic shells sundered my body. You’d think that losing your buffs would just return you to your normal state, but I finally understood the anguish on the young soldiers’ faces as they said they didn’t want to go down. Searing pain wracked my body as I felt power forcefully leaving me.
I dropped down to my knees, but I managed to grab one of the mages with what little strength I had left and said:” Say, have you ever gotten hit by your own spell? Have you ever felt that unimaginable pain coursing through your nerves, numbing the mind as everything goes blank? Now I have, and I’m telling you, this skill you mages designed is disgusting! Do you want to feel pain? I may be weakened, but a mage who only knows how to abuse a ridiculous skill will not win from me even when I use my bare hands!” I lifted my crossbow to his face, his smirk turning into a face filled with fear. The bolt hit him straight in the head. I let go of the mage, throwing him down to the ground, and picked up my shield. The army that had gathered behind me had stopped in awe after witnessing the scene. Stumbling upwards, I walked towards them, body full of cuts and arrows. My shield half broken, with cuts from all the weapons it deflected, and dents from all the people I hit with it. I came to a stop in the middle of their army. Doing all this I said:” Say, do you soldiers have any pride? Or are you all going to prey on me to be that one guy who killed the enemy commander. Remember this day, if you’re ever going to lecture someone about pride, tell them the story about the commander of the Righteous Crusaders. An uncountable amount of kills, one death. Even as the odds were against him, he still fought to the very end, taking down a multitude of enemies with him to the graveyard! And he didn’t abandon his side, no, all you cowards who fled to the winning side because you only seek fame and wealth! I bet your vocabularies don’t contain the words pride and honor, so I’ll let you feast here on the life of the one and only Commander!” The skies darkened as the enemies descended upon me, and not much later everything turned black as I breathed my last moments in pain.
I woke up at the spawn. Still reminded of the pain I felt moments ago, I had a lot of trouble getting up. Luckily a hand reached to me, and I was pulled upwards. The guy sat down next to me and handed me something to eat. That man was the commander of the Ferrel guild army, the cleric I first started this mission with. “It’s one of those days, huh,” he said.
“Yep, it’s one of those.”
“Want to go have proper food later?”
“Sure man.”
LoveU4ever will be representing the land of...Forgotten Temple
Squipy will be representing the land of... Shady Jungle
For the talent round, I have decided to do a series of graphite drawings featuring animals that might be found in a real life shady jungle (and a bit of writing too I guess xD). I have always had a strong appreciation for art but I wouldn't consider it a talent as much as a hobby. In the real world, I am a Master's student attempting to complete my Animal Science degree. While this isn't a talent either, it is something I am passionate about. I thought that this would be a good opportunity to combine my hobby with my field of study and of course, my map.
We can all appreciate the majesty of wildlife from our tiger posters, cuddly stuffed toys to our animal-inspired mobs in-game. Unfortunately, not many of us think that wildlife are worth protecting!
The truth is, conservation is not as profitable as the welfare of food-producing farm animals or companion animals - even if they can make the world 'richer' in a different way~ Expanding human populations means expanding infrastructure, which also means that many habitats are destroyed, threatening countless species with extinction at a faster rate.
In nature, everything is interconnected and exists to maintain ecological balance. Eliminating one species can lead to greater problems that aren't easy to fix! It also puts the human race in jeopardy, because if animals go, we can be sure that humans may not be far behind... Think of it like a knitted sweater by which the removal of a single thread unravels the entire piece.
Loss of biodiversity is the first step towards a silent, barren Earth. So, we must do what we can to look after our precious wildlife!

Essentially will be representing the land of... Breezy Hills
This Tasty looking Cake is a Vanilla layered cake with Strawberries in between and Covered in Chocolate.
Hello fellow Rosearians! This is your Ms ROSE contestant, Ms Breezy, aka Essentially, or Hue in game.
First of all, I'll just straight out admit that this entirely did not turn out exactly how I wanted to be....... Might as well live up to my mistakes, right?!
I'm no professional baker, I'm actually only a high-schooler and baking's only a hobby... but I tried
Anyways, there was more to this but time constraints (Yeah yeah, I didn't exactly finish to how I wanted it to be, but this took a lot of effort and tastes amazing, as horrible as the picture turned out.)
Everything was made from scratch. I had a video previously to show how I made each part of it, but the stubborn little darn thing takes years to upload... My fault, my fault. Sigh~
Nonetheless, this monstrous creation of mine came from the idea of answering the question regarding the Jellybeans from when all the lovely ladies (& my fellow clanmate, Jero or jerremy) applied to ultimately become your Miss Rose. Besides, Jellybeans are supposed to be the first things that we see as beginners right?
Each Jellybean is actually a chocolate cake pop, covered in colored white chocolate, and decorated with shaped fondant for arms, legs, eyes, headbands, and mouths. I then used dark chocolate to draw on their faces and hands and such for eyes and mouth. So, the whole figure is edible! Just not the stick that holds it of course..
The cake is covered with chocolate, but it's actually a homemade vanilla cake with two layers with cream and strawberries in between, then drizzled with green chocolate ganache on top.
Keep in mind, everything is home-made! From making the fondant from scratch to each and every little part.
I doubt I will win with this entry without a video to show the whole process before this sole horrid picture was taken, rushed, to represent it.. but at least it tastes good, believe it or not. Only the taste matters??? Don't judge a book by its cover?!!
Anyways, if anyone is actually interested in recipes....
