In the battle part, where I get transported to the shrine to kill zombies and such; I randomly keep getting teleported back to the Valkyrie NPC who sends me there, as if I died or the quest failed. I summoned the mercenary, and it hasn't died. This has happened repeatedly, and isn't letting me finish the Quest.

If I remember correctly, you only have a limited amount of time to finish that part.

Yup, it's time limited, not sure how many minutes you have. Once you get to the map, ignore the mobs, run to the valk you have to kill, summon your merc and healbomb the valk. Doesn't matter if you or the merc kill it (at least it didn't when I've done the quest in January). Not sure if you can tp on that map, can't remember.

Don't bother with the mercenary, just summon and dismiss it immediately. It won't affect your quest. Ignore every mob except the Undead Valkyrie monster. Kyrie Eleison will help you go through the map easily. You may as well use speed potions to reach the marked locations on map quickly. You can only walk in this map and yup its time limited.

You do not have time to kill anything except the valks. There is an extremely tight time limit.
