How did this work again? I can't find the thread with all the changes detailed.

I know it changed a little while back so res and def affected scad / cad....

I'm trying to work out if it's worth going for SCAD on a DPS class or just going for raw damage...

You can try:

Lithi's Damage Calculator

thread: http://forums.warppo...dmg-calculator/

directlink: http://sourceforge.n....3.exe/download

I believe it's still up to date with res/def formulas.

in another thread i posted this:

If you use 7 magic high ranks you gain 140 magic damage. If you do a non-critical hit on a character with 80% resistance, then only 20% of your magic damage will go 'through'. 20% x 140 = 28 magic damage. Incase you do a critical hit on a character with capped resistance: (140 x 2) x 20% = 56 magic damage that goes through. You could compare this with 8 [event] scad xeons. But keep in mind that the damage from scad also gets reduced by 20% when your target has 80% resistance.

noep... somethin is wrong with it.... if i put in all information it says i crit up to 1,9

ooooooor something with requiem is wrong and Calculator is right^^

sounds more good for me coz the chance that Lithi fail is lower then the dev´s chance xD

My question was more, how is SCAD affected by resistance?

Is it affected the same as any other damage now?

i.e. If someone has 80% res, only 20% of my SCAD will hit?

Just as an example:

Imagine I had 0 SCAD, and critical hit someone 1k damage.

Then I added 1k SCAD, and crit them again. Would I be doing 1.2k damage now?

Just as an example: for 80% resistance
-magic damage gets reduced by 80%
-scad damage gets reduced by 20%

Imagine I had 0 SCAD, and critical hit someone 1k damage. For this you need 5k magic damage. 5000 x 20% = 1000 damage

Then I added 1k SCAD, and crit them again. Would I be doing 1.2k damage now? (5000 X 20%) + (1000 x 80%) = 1000 + 800 = 1800 damage.
